Broner vs De Leon

    I saw Broner for the first time the other night and I was fairly impressed with how he handled himself.

    I was just wondering how the De Leon fight went down? Was it closely fought? Did Broner look good against a solid opponent? What were your scorecards and overall thoughts about the match-up? Discuss.

    115-113 type win, over a guy who was by far his biggest test to date.

    De Leon is a very good fighter.

    Close but clear win for deleon. If broner does end up being an undefeated star in the sport this fight will constantly be brought up that he should of had a loss.

    I need to watch the fight myself. Could be another case of the black fighter landing the cleaner punches but the mexican fighter being more active thus claiming he deserved the decision. Broner has looked exceptional every other fight I've seen of him.

    Very patient, very accurate.

    Not the case at all. Don't assume.

    DPDL was the aggressor and landed the cleaner punches.

    This was not Broner's shining hour. In fact, on the biggest stage it was his worst display. Think Dirrell vs. Stevens (except Ponce De Leon was far more effective here than Curtis Stevens was).

    Watched the highlights on HBO. only highlights of course and of course they are gonna be showing Broners best work because thats the star they are trying to hype, but in the 9th Kellerman says broner was landing the harder cleaner shots and Roy agreed.

    Way to gloss over one of the most shocking and appalling things to ever happen in a boxing ring.
    Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go post blurry screenshots of this horrific crime on my crappy blog and then paste them into hundreds of threads here. The world needs to know about this grave injustice.

    Of course they said that. Broner is the guy HBO is currently trying to sell. Ponce De Leon is busted stuff, they're not looking to build around his craggy old face.

    How many outlandish comments did they make in Martinez vs. Barker? It was shameless sack-swinging and exaggeration of everything Sergio did, and complete refusal to acknowledge anything that came back at him (or any of his failures).
