Towers is a decent fighter. If he was in his early 20's there would be plenty of hype around him.

Im going to go against the grain and go along the lines of not a good matchup at this point.

Fury has already fought a seasond top level domestic fighter in McDermot, and fought unbeaten prospects Nazimo, Pajic, Chisora and Powers.

I feel his team should make an offer to a former past it champion a guy with experience and know how, a S. Peter, S. Lykovich, H. Rahman.

For next year a matchup like this-

    Feb- Peter/Lykovich or Rahman

May- Sprott/ Harrison/ Price (defending british, commonwealth)

Aug - Arreola/ Thompson/ Chambers (top american fighter)

Late in the year go for a title shot-

I read in BM or BN that Towers got the better of Fury in sparring in the past.

    Towers hasn't fought anyone.

He is huge though, athletic for his size.

towers wont beat fury, and i'm no fury fan...he's been to long on his holidays at the queens big house and if he was any good at all he would have been rushed through, due to being so long in the tooth and not having time to play with, and not sat on all this time like the ingles have done....they have built his name on a handful of very low quality opponents hoping they could get one payday for him somewhere and fair play to them, they'll get it in fury, but that will be the end of towers or hayles or whatever he calls himself these days, and the wage earned will justified his time in boxing since he got back out.
    just my opinion of course.

There is about 4 European titles I think. The main one Helenius and Chisora are fighting for and a couple more bull**** ones I think are held by Ustinov and Pala.
