Are you asking why he is there or putting him out as a potential winner? If the latter (which suspect it is) then I agree he has had a fantastic year and would be a worthy winner. I gotta go with Cavendish though he has been incredible this year. As for Froch not being nominated - he doesn't deserve it this year is probably why.
Also how the **** do the MEN get away with these choices exactly? James Anderson Dimitar Berbatov Darren Clarke Glen Chapple Rory McIlroy Keri-Anne Payne Paul Scholes Andrew Strauss Yaya Toure Patrick Vieira atsch/:rofl
TBH I'd not seen the list of nominees but I think Farah did very well to come back from getting edged out in the 10k to get gold in the 5k. I don't know enough bout cycling to really have an opinion on Cavendish.
Tour De France Green Jersey (most points overall not shortest accumulated time) winner (first British winner) and only man to win the final stage in 3 successive years, and winner of the World road race. Truly the fastest sprinter in the World at the moment, and in one of the most physically and mentally demanding sports. No contest, if he doesn't win it's a travesty.
Every year there is a boxer on the list, yet the BBC NEVER shows professional boxing and only just recently started showing a few amateur bouts.
 Ridiculous. Travesty if Cav doesn't win it, but I wonder if the general public that vote will pick someone else because I imagine he can come across as really arrogant if you aren't a cycling fan.
I've always thought the name of this award should be changed. Sure Khan has done well in the ring this year but in terms of 'personality' it's a no brainer that he shouldn't come close. He hasn't got a personality.
