I didn't call him an ATG. An ATG is one of the top 100 fighters of all time, which Haye clearly isn't.

He is, however, a top 10 cruiserweight, making him a great at that weight. Do you disagree?

Well, he holds a lot more than his brother and he holds a lot more than in his younger days, when his jaw kept getting shattered.

No you're not, that's not what you said at all.

    You said:

"He VERY rarely hold or leans on purpose"

That is completely false. There is absolutely no disputing that holding and leaning is a vital part of his style - yet you ARE disputing it. THAT is why we're laughing at you. It's like arguing that the sky is orange.

Why are you lying about what you said? You clearly said he rarely holds or leans, but now you're claiming you said he doesn't hold any more than other heavyweights. Two entirely different things. :patsch

Sorry! Didn't know. Also, I never said Danny Williams was better than George Foreman, I said "defensively" Foreman was no better than Williams.

    It's exactly the same thing.

Most large heavyweights don't do it a lot ON PURPOSE. It mostly happens for the reasons I so carefully explained, above.

Also note the definition of the word "rarely." It does not mean never.

Really, you should stop reading those gay magazines and work on your reading comprehension skills.

    ------

FWIW, The Peter fight was a rare case of Wlad being hurt & in trouble, so yes he held a few times, as any smart fighter will. - even in that fight it was Peter instigating most of the clinches, either by holding himself or by moving in & down.

What do you mean he doesn't do it on purpose?

Is there some invisible man forcing him to reach out and wrap his arms around any fighter that gets near his Glass Jaw?

I think a lot of the clinching has to do with his height

it usually happens after he misses and ends up over or on top of his opponents

if he was more of an in fighter he probably would fight in close but his long jabs and rights if they miss he commits forward and winds up in a clinch

if i remember properly in the Peter 2 fight Sam Peter initiated the clinching more than anything

what id rather see is the Wlad of the end of Peter 2 where he gets up close like theres gonna be a tie up and he pushes them off and throws several hooks and hurts the guys

You're one of the few posters I've encountered whose posts genuinely make me cringe.

Hilarious that Pete posted a picture that completely negates his own opinion.

Note how PETER is the one here initiating the hold. After he comes in, and wraps his arms around the much taller Wlad, what is Wlad supposed to do? Waste energy pulling himself away? (that's the ref's job.) Go to his knees? Keep his arms way up in the air? (That would wear him out) Drop his hands to his side, giving Peter a chance to connect?

You just don't get it, do you?

It's hopeless, I'm out of here.

One of the traits of nuthuggers is that they deny what they see with their own eyes.

Wlad's on the canvas here, buddy. He's actually on his knee.

I just posted it because he best resembled in an octopus in it.

    Nice analysis though. :rofl
