Most likely this will be a long grind out war of attrition and will come down to the end with both fighters being pushed to their limits.

Marg will happily give his life for boxing fans and mexicans. Cotto believes his family is more important than his job.

If this turns into an Ali X Frazier type fight, will the willingness to die be the deciding factor in the fight?

you don't need to die if you can box your opponents ears off

I agree, however as we've all seen, you can Box Marg's ears off and he will still plod forward and try and kill you like the Walking Dead. This will be an advantage for him in the later rounds.

I'm rooting for Cotto all the way but the fact that he is unwilling to give his life in the ring put's him at a severe disadvantage against Margarito and could cost him the fight.

I'd say its a psychological advantage for Margarito. Cotto will be looking into the eyes, or should I say eye, of a man that will not stop coming unless he is killed. That can't be a fun opponent to be up against. Reminds me of Joe Pesci in "Goodfellas"

the fight won't last long enough for Cotto(e)'s willingness to die or not to matter

from all indications it will very likely go to the later rounds where, blood, guts and the willingness to die all factor into the final decision.

    indeed.

I hope Cotto can finish him early but I don't see it happening. If it becomes a war of attrition I really hope Miguel decides to risk his life to win. It's most likely his only chance in that type of fight.

Can't believe most don't see this. It's not going to be much of a fight but I'll be happy to see Miguel get his revenge.

    :deal

He might not be willing to die but he didnt say anything about not being willing to kill.

what indications are you thinking of?:huh

the way I see it is margoe is most likely shot after those AZZ beatings from Shane and emmanuel. Even if he anit shot taking the AZZ beating margoe took from emmanuel does not leave you the same.

margoe has a fake right eye that no clean doctor was willing to clear for boxing and sitll wears sunglasses this day to protect em.

his messed up eye happens to be the one that's easy for Cotto(e)'s best punches the jab and hook to land on

oh he's definitely willing to kill. that goes without saying and I would love it if he just went in there and destroyed Tony in the early rounds .

but I just don't see that happening. Tony is a zombie, the more he gets hurt the more he plots forward relentlessly throwing punches.

I think Miguel will have to muster everything he's got to take him out, even if it kills him.
