Who is scotlands best young up coming prospect

i think i know mate, but i dont want to put anything about it on here as it might be wrong mate. sorry about being vague.

 

only ones i rate are simmons and mccallum,gareth stemp is not going to have a good pro career imo,fantastic in the ams though. I just dont like cowan though

i agree with the above boxers but one that everyone has missed is a kid who boxes alongside my brother lee and matty. he is darren traynor, he had a solid amateur career winning scottish titles boxing for scotland at every level and went over to america and won the world club championships beating a peurto rican and american boxer. he can box, punch and fears nobody.

 

Simmons is class and wim win honours next year,Roberts is improving with each fight and Brophy looks better every time he fights and will come out his shel soon and stop people.Ronnie Clark is a very strong southpaw

Where to begin.......

1st.

Gary Cornish, not your average built Heavyweight either.......and a punch output well above the norm.

He is fighting this Friday, i heard it was Rasani again over 8 (original fighter injured am told) and the last time out Rasani retired after 4 (that isnt a slight on Rasani either....multiple reasons am sure)



2nd.

Jasper Chisolm is also on the bill, he won Fighter Of The Month or Night (dunno) on his debut on a Gilmour dinner show (The ref says it was his easiest nights work......no need for splitting/breaking etc)....yet Jasper is an inside fighter.......phonebox fighter with the right dial codes.

3rd.



Andrew Young returns, boys had a ton of injurys and his Amateur record is certainly above standard and one thing that stands out............his accuracy.


Of course theres tons of boys coming on strong, Nelsons gym for example have a few.

Mick Roberts Jr stands out for me in all honesty.......maybe its his Carl Froch coldness


I havent seen a lot of John Thain but i wanna.......got a feeling he has something.

I also think young Butcher will have a good career in the pro,s and Jordon McCORRY.

 

Saw a lot of Jordan McCorry in the ams and he was good. Heard he had a really tough debut the other week against another debutant, close, but he won.

John Thain always impressed me in the ams, slick, stylish with lots of variation and it showed on boxnation last weekend. He also came across very well in the post fight interview, classy guy.

 

Just watching a bit of John Thain the other day. Impressive wingspan and leverage.

 

What about Rocky Wright? Has he fought recently? He was the golden boy of Scottish amateur boxing for a few years before fading into obscurity and turning pro.

I heard Jordan McCrorry was very lucky to win his debut last month.

Another good amateur that has recently turned pro is Gary McCallum, he's with Gilmour and got off to a winning start last month.

John Thain has the best skill set of the lot of them though very well schooled, he's also the most dedicated fighter I've ever come across, by a good bit.

Chris Steel is boxing in a couple of weeks, hoping to make it 4-0 after breezing through his first three fights. He's got a lot of height and reach for the weight and a nice style.

 

He's a sound guy too, hope he goes far :good
