its also unacceptable. the commentators should apolagise and the referee should book them. learn how to speak english. if my 7 year old cousin has enough words in his vocabulary to not have to swear, a 40 year old boxing coach can do the same. its sad we live in a world where bad language is not only accepted but it seems to be activley encouraged.
Why, did you also write that McClellan would've strolled out of the London hospital just fine had he not been flown home too soon? :roflatsch
I agree. Ideally they wouldn't do it, but they're placed in a difficult situation and sometimes a fighter might need a bollocking. ''Please hit him more than he hits you'' ain't gonna work. I don't think the commentator should apologise, it's one of those things. It's up to the game's authorities to make players respect officials more, they could do this in part by making the game easier to referee and by introducing a bit of common sense. Booking a player for an honest, mistimed tackle is kinda dumb, when you only get a booking for a cynical shirt pull or a deliberate handball (outside the box obviously).
Bunce is passionate, but he is a massive yes man.... He isnt a renegade who tells it like it is, far far from it. He sucks up to every fighter he interviews and only evey says controversial things about opposing fighters. I like Bunce, but he would happily take Skys money and toe the company line all day long.
As I've said, he has a lot of good qualities, for sure. But his biggest achievement is getting people to think quite the opposite of macho's spot on post above.
Probably because Sky are a professional outfit and Bunce whilst he might say it as it is..he talks some crap and annoys the hell out of alot of people!
Joe Brains of Shite, I wrote that because...it is true. He was not blind or deaf when, against medical advice, he was sent back to America. I think you will find he was deprived of oxygen at one of the American units he was first sent to. SKY professional? Are you lot mad? They don't have a bleeding journalist in the outfit, get real some of you! Smith is an actor, Robinson is former boxer and PR, Watt etc are boxers. Please come up when you see me at a show and tell me that I would take their money and 'toe the the line', please do that. Which one of the professionals was it last year that ignored Froch against Abraham? I'm looking forward to Rampant **** Brains II on that one. Adios.
lol, Im sure alot of people think you are doing a great job and like you. Watching Ringside compared to Bunce show is like chalk and cheese. Ringside maybe a bit more boring at times but it's a professional set up and as most are ex boxers they know there stuff and are enthusiastic. Sky may have missed the boat on alot of fights but I think they know that now. PPV every week was getting a joke so they stopped it for the time being, Im sure they will screw us over again. I think with you its a marmite situation, love or hate! and you do a great show for all the lovers!!
Buncey's a bad-ass rebel who lives by his own rules. Hard to slate a man who's as obviously passionate about boxing as he is.
Sorry Rob, but are you forgetting an ATG thread http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=241912 :hey
You are totally wrong. I remember seeing Buncey live at a Sky Ringside show for the troops in Epsom where he stood right in front of TV top brass and didn't pull any punches. If anything he is often too honest for his own good!
So, Gerald's injuries were caused by Lisa McClellan & family, not Nigel Benn. Those are the facts that should be spread, yes? And if it turns out to be bollocks, we can point the finger at you for spreading outrageous porky pies. Fair? "I just hope they make this clear in the documentary."
