The fight between Cotto and Margo figures to play-out the same, with the Tijuana Tornado doing the only thing he does: walking through fire, raining punches till Cotto wilts.

Will the early flush hooks Cotto landed last time -- with little affect -- have dramatically different results now, and change the ending, after Margo's crushed orbital bone 'n torn retina?

at the first Glance I thought this thread was either about a fantasy Rocky match up, or about former Middleweight Champ Dick Tiger. :D

But going back to the topic, I think Margarito will be a completely different fighter. So many years away from the sport and a shitload of injuries. Cotto seems driven, and very hell bent on hurting Margarito. I think he is able to stop Margarito in the first half of the fight due to Antonio's past injuries.

Do you think for payback Cotto will not only go all out to stop Margo but permanently damage his eye?

I think the fact that he stopped acknowledging Margarito as a person is a testament to the high probability of all that happening. :D I really think that Cotto wants to hurt Antonio.

Margarito isn't the same fighter, but he will still be a tough fight for Cotto. I think Cotto will be better able to handle the last stretch like he wasn't able to last time around.

Not sure how Marg's eye will hold up, and yes, Cotto will be connecting all night. It's possible Cotto could force a stoppage, but i think it will go to points, with Miguel winning a UD.

    I'm loving this motivated Cotto

Do you see any material changes either guy can employ? If not, we should have a repeat of the first one.

I'm thinking Cotto may get the TKO

What is it you see that'll make such a dramatic difference, L?

Margarito has not been the same fighter since Mosley's camp discovered his plastered hand wraps. He has taken a beating in his two big fights against Mosley and Pacquiao. I will be surprised if he does not take another beating in this 2nd fight with Cotto.

    Think that's a little-mentioned important factor, since he's such a physical guy.

What could Team Cotto have devised to keep him from being overwhelmed against the ropes?
