Obviously some of those guys not only have good but legendary chins, but...Briggs? And keep in mind you said substandard - that's lower than the average heavyweight champion. So where does someone like Wladimir Klitschko compare to Foreman, or Lewis?

 

I really wouldn't call Frazier a "One punch" knockout danger. He had lots KO's and TKO's, but most were in the later rounds.
In interviews Frazier said he wore opponents down and out.
I wouldnt argue over Frazier's one punch power as he was IMO, a very good puncher. But still thats only 6 out of 80 pro fights. Clearly too small to base an iron chin label on....

Look at how many early Ko's Frazier had before you speak youngin, he had 18 ko's within 5 rounds

Well Frazier could have had 100% Ko's but he didn't get the chance to use his power on Foreman.
Its about Foreman's chin, not Frazier's power...

 

That was my bad. I got Frazier's and Norton's records mixed up.

 

Alex Stewart despite being a "never was" still had good power. See their fight, he threw plenty of hard shots and Foreman kept coming forward. Foreman's face certainly paid the price.

 

Just considering his prime years, before the comeback: he was floored twice by Lyle and once by Ali. That's not bad.

Iron chin? No.

Glass jaw? Of course not.

 

We also have to bear in mind that Foreman ducked Earnie Shavers, who had a really hard punch.

 

Also Peralta and Young.. So Foreman was down five times in about forty fights in the 70s......But most of his opponents were dead bodys......
