Why isn't the WBC mandating Chavez Jr fight either Rubio or Martinez as they are the mandatory? This **** is pathetic! Chavez and Canelo are way over protected by the WBC and their promoters.

I just hope Barker gets lucky and knocks him out but I doubt it. If it goes to a decision they will give it to Chavez regardless if he wins or not.

Fair enough people calling this a duck, but your all underestimating barker, be made Sergio look very flawed and could pull an upset

Careful matchmaking by Top Rank to protect Jr until there's enough money in the pot for Canelo vs Chavez. Then take the public for all they've got on a fight between 2 over protected fighters that aren't as good as they are being made out to be.

I really wanted to see Chavez Jr. vs Andy Lee. Arum and his bull**** train keep on chugging along.

The Barker fight isn't bad, but would have preffered Lee.

    This. :good

I think Canelo is more polished and has more natural boxing ability, whereas Chavez is learning to box, but is still more of a brawler.

Love to see this fight, although Chavez seems to be naturally a bit bigger than Canelo.

Yes, because Barker doesn't have the power to knock out Chavez. And that's essentially the only way a lesser known boxer can get a victory because Chavez will always get the decision from the judges.

I don't hate Chavez at all. Although I resent the fact he has been given special treatment.

He's a ****ing world title holder, he should be fighting Martinez (the rightful owner of his belt). If he needed more development (45 fights isn't enough?) then he shouldn't have fought for the world title.

Maybe I just have really low expectations of Chavez but I'm pleasantly surprised he'll be facing Barker. It's definitely a step up.
