As a fan of boxing, I am going to find it hard to watch this fight. I have the ultimate respect for anyone who steps between the ropes, but this is not going to be easy to watch.

John Murray for all his heart is simply not world level and more to the point very easy to hit at domestic level.

I have seen fights before where I knew who the winner was going to be such as Matthew Hatton vs Alvarez, but I always thought that Hatton had a pretty capable defence and wouldnt be eating solid shots from round one.

Rios is on the way up is absolutely huge for the weight and hits very hard.

If this goes as long as Pavlik vs Lockett I would be surprised.

I just hope John doesnt get hurt.

    Peace.

He definitely is the proverbial lamb to the slaughter.

I don't think he has a prayer but, in terms of making Rios look good, he's the perfect choice.

The longer this one goes, the worse it is for Murray. Personally, I'll be surprised if he lasts into the mid-rounds. It probably won't last long enough to be a career-ending beating orr anything like that.

This is going to be a barnburner. 3-4 rounds tops. Murray will land a few of his own, though, and make it fun to watch.

He doesnt hit hard enough to gain respect and doesnt have the footwork to avoid punches, i suppose his best bet is to try and wind Rios early with body shots.

I didn't say he would land with much effectiveness; just that he will land some shots and make it entertaining/visually appealling.

"And Murray lands a right hand of his own, but Rios keeps coming,...."

It will definately be a war while it lasts, but if Antillon couldn't hold up against Brandon's power, I doubt Murray will.

Come guys Murray isn't THAT bad, what about when Rios fought Omri Lowther was you as worried for his health?

No matter the level of opponent, any fighter can get badly hurt in a fight if you're gonna sit at home worrying about it all the time then you're a fan of the wrong sport
