Rios vs Murray is a dangerous fight for the wrong reasons.

As a fan of boxing, I am going to find it hard to watch this fight. I have the ultimate respect for anyone who steps between the ropes, but this is not going to be easy to watch.

John Murray for all his heart is simply not world level and more to the point very easy to hit at domestic level.

I have seen fights before where I knew who the winner was going to be such as Matthew Hatton vs Alvarez, but I always thought that Hatton had a pretty capable defence and wouldnt be eating solid shots from round one.

Rios is on the way up is absolutely huge for the weight and hits very hard.

If this goes as long as Pavlik vs Lockett I would be surprised.

I just hope John doesnt get hurt.

    Peace.

i want murray to win and don't rate rios

but seeing as mitchell beat him up
and he struggled with a journeyman before the mitchell fight

    it's not looking good

Talk about over estimating Brandon Rios.

Big at the weight? Murray's even bigger. Not saying John will win but Rios isn't that good that it's that dangerous a fight.

Murray isn't bigger. See Rios stood next to Middleweight Omar Henry, he's massive for the weight.

He also holds every advantage over Murray. Everything Murray does, Rios does better. Murray also has no power, and has nothing going backwards and nothing in the defensive department.

It's not overstating Rios at all, it's stating facts: Murray is NOWHERE near this level.

It's ok, Murray doesn't have the chin to make it a sustained beating.

    It'll be over in 4

A little over dramatic in my opinion. It's a mismatch, but there are tons of them every week. If Rios hits as hard as you say, and he probably/possibly does, Murray won't last long anyway.

    I dont think I am .

Look at the following fights , Acosta fight , patient against a very good mover. Antillon fight - simply walks through a fighter who would give John absolute hell. Peterson fight , deals with the speed very well and simply breaks the fighter down.

Also dont make the mistake in a fighter being heavier coming fight night . Rios will look almost a weight class bigger.

Think the end is here for Murray. Rios is an animal.

Don't get me wrong, I also think Rios wins quite easily.

I just don't really see how it's that dangerous a fight. Like TFFP said, it just seems a little over dramatic.

I really don't think Rios will look that much bigger either though come fight night.

i remember on the undercard of pac v marg everyone was saying that Rios was ****

they were wrong like, but opinions change all the time. murray will know how dangerous Rios is and wont entertain a firefight early and will try to throw jabs without fully engaging. Rios starts to get through then lands a couple big combos to see murray get stopped in 6/7

I just mean the type of fighter Murray is , look , if he was a mover who tended to lose fights like say a Jason Booth , who can always look after themselves then I wouldnt have an issue, but it is rediculous how easy he is to hit. This shows what a good chin he has , but this is a step way too big and I just dont want to see a career ending defeat at 26.

It's a mismatch, Murray will get poleaxed early.
