It's totally different. Women are participating in a sport that already exists and that men get funding for. They should too. Who the **** are you to tell someone they shouldn't have the same opportunity to pursue a sport because they happened to be born female?

Personally I have no interest in it, and very little interest in most womens sports, but there shouldn't be barriers on any job based on gender or race.

 

This thread is hilarious. She'd knock the **** out of all the blokes in here saying women shouldn't box.

 

No ones saying she's not talented or 'hard' (fact is she spars with blokes and has little hassle) but I'm with the rest of the guys: not nice to watch, and I don't know any girls that like it either.

If you're ******ed, gay or in a wheelchair you just might get some kind of government funding, preferably all three of course.

Funnily enough when the Walking race was made into an olympic sport it was actually just made up by 3 blokes on the **** somewhere around Dagenham, a few months of campaigning and bobs your uncle one of them is competing in the olympics.

Such a minority sport, there is no need for any funding.

A talented athlete would hammer womens' boxing, funding or not by training once per week.

Nicola Adams of Haringey ABC (European gold medalist) is very talented.

 

Isn't the fundamentals of boxing balance, coordination and timing? No reason why women shouldn't be as good as men.
Because of the weight class system size and strength is irrelevant.

I'm fully in support of female amateur boxing, but dislike the professional code. Don't see how any normal person could find women taking body shots or being stopped entertaining.

 

I don't agree with Women's Boxing either. There is something not right in watching Women beat the **** out of eachother.

 

No interest in womens boxing and wish it didn't exist. Not to knock her and other girls talent but it will never sit right with me.

I'm a fan of Katies but calling her the best female boxer in the world is like calling Lomaschenko the best male boxer in the world.

Didn't you see who started the thread, that Irish *****. Otherwise he wouldn't have give a **** about her or womens boxing. He has had to resort to bigging up irish female boxers as male ones are total turd.

 

Has anyone on this site watched Amateur Womens boxing its very technical and I really enjoyed wathing the Amanda Coyulson - Cameron bout on BBC a few weeks ago.
