Not in a definite order, but are these the right five names? Fedor Emelianenko Anderson Silva Georges St Pierre Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Dan Henderson :think
1-4 are locked, no.5 has been open for a while. Did Henderson really deserve the nod over Shogun? Debatable. Whatever your opinion, his performance boosted his status, and he was knocking at the ATG top 5 door before that fight
Unsure, but there is a conclusive shortlist of infantile stinktards present on this thread: START OF LIST. Beekeeper END OF LIST. :good
Well look at it this way. Of all those others in the list 2 are still in their primes (GSP, Silva). Doesnt take a genius to assume that they'll have a few more big wins. Hendo is maybe one big or two wins away from the GOAT (depends on the opposition) His stock just keeps going up. Now you're left with two, whos stocks are going down. Big Nog and Fedor. Big Nog had a wonderful win last time out but lets face it, its been mostly downhill. Fedor is already decisioning fighters like Monson in an insignificant fight so that speaks for itself. Then there are fighters on the way up (looking 2 years down the road) Frankie has the biggest upside since LW is stacked to the max. JDS looks like a monster and his resume to date isnt very shabby at 27 years of age. Aldo if he keeps winning, Bones as well may be in that top 5 within a couple of years. My point is this, if theres a new guy in the top 5, its not going to be GSP, Hendo and Silva thats going to make room for them. And there will be a new guy there, its inevitable.
