Rios vs Murray is a dangerous fight for the wrong reasons.

I reckon Joe G will be ready with the towel if it gets ugly

Quick edit haha Murray and Rios both start camp around the same weight, there is not much difference in size.

This fight is not the best timing from Murrays point of view, no way do you go into a fight like this on the other fellas promotion after a defeat like the last one, but on the other hand I suppose he can't afford to refuse this fight especially financially.

He will get beat bad if you ask me.

Saying that I just re read an old Fighting Fig magazine with Rios in it, and he says he walks around at 150. SO what the **** do I know!!

So they are basically the same size Rios enters camp weighing 150. Murray weighs 149.

    Not in the ring.

Rios weighed 151 on the night against Peterson. It wouldn't surprise me if he's even bigger than that on saturday.

There's worse mismatches made than this pretty much every week, if I felt the need I'd make one of these threads with regularity. You may not like it, but it's part of the game now. Put into context it's the division's best against a guy who's probably in and around the top 20, people are going a bit over the top.

Murray's a superior fighter defensively than Antillon(not harder to be better than the guy who's possibly the worst, mind), and is a lesser fighter offensively. It's not like against Mitchell where he's forced to advance and eat clean counters, he's up against a much more physically imposing guy who'll push him back, so realistically Rios won't have the same openings Mitchell did, because in all probability Murray's going to be forced into covering up and shipping a lot of shots to the arms.

He'll be overwhelmed, yeah, but I do think people are being a tad harsh. As controversial as it may sound, I think he might even be sanctioned to fight again after this.

Yes just read now the interview he says he weighs in on fight night between 145-150 looks like he will be bigger than ever with him getting bigger and maturing.

I don't see this 1 round blow out people are talking about.

Murray will surprise a few and be competitive early, having some success, and going out on his shield around 6 :deal

Rios will be at least 150 in the ring. For one of his fights at 140 he weighed 158.

Anyway NYSAC don't allow HBO to weigh them (at least they didn't for Donaire's fight recently).

Rios is definitely beatable. Someone with decent boxing skills and the power to keep Rios off will beat him. Murray has neither.
