Who do you think is better? Both top young champions. But one has huge, mainstream promotional effort on his side, and a larger crop of better known opponents to choose from. Roman Gonzalez or Amir Khan?

Gonzalez is a better technician, carries more power for his weight, is a better pure puncher, and is less vulnerable than Khan is. Khan has him on footspeed and handspeed (he has mostly everybody in these areas), but he's not as skilled as Gonzalez.

Thank you. This is how you can tell the real fans. By whoever knows the little guys/agrees with me at least 75% of the time.

Khan is a very good fighter but Chocolatito is the total package IMO. Gonzalez is the better fighter no doubt! He will have to move up soon in order to get some competition: Marquez and Segura will be waiting for him. Potential great fights right there!!

Interesting how all of the three Gonzalez votes have spoken and none of the three Khan voters have bothered...

I really like Roman Gonzalez, Sadly he won't get recognized for his talent since he is only a LFW. Same with Giovani Segura and Tyson Marquez.

Overall I think he is the real deal, Very good fighter well rounded. So I go with Roman

Interesting, Gonzales is a little under the radar though, and its because of his weighed, smaller guys get overlooked a lot in boxing.

I voted for Roman. As other posters have commented, he gets overlooked because he fights in a division too far south of what is followed in the mainstream. Here I posted a view other videos where his pound for pound status can be better appreciated:

I interpret the lack of Khan voters making any comments to mean they aren't familiar with Gonzalez and figure that's justification for not needing to state a case for Khan. Not all of the Khan guys, but most, I'm betting. It reeks of uninformed voting.

I don't know much about the lower weights to be honest. Could someone school me on this Gonzalez guy? What makes him so great?

:rofl Yet voted for Khan anyway. Exactly what I mean. Watch some of his fights instead of reading opinions, dude. You won't be wasting your time, I swear.
Youtube has plenty of his fights.

Come talk about it at the lodge, when you're done, if you're legitimately interested:

Gonzales in one of the best in the lower eights, very entertaining to watch, those weights have ad some of the beat fights this year, and imo the top 2 in for the year.

I bet 90% of the posters who voted for Khan have yet to see a Chocolatito fight:lol:

Gonzalez looks the better fighter I think, but he's yet to prove himself quite the way Khan has. Niida, Salado, Takayama, etc are solid enough fighters, but it's not enough to rate him above Khan at this stage, not for me.
