This would be a bad move for Lyakhovich. He should fight an easier opponent coming off his loss right now, and maybe fight Chambers later in the year. Someone like Maurice Harris would be a good choice for Jan 21.
Chambers really shouldn't be calling out anybody after he bailed out of the scheduled December fight with Tony Thompson for whatever reason (probably saw the future, and didn't want to suffer another Klitschko beatdown).

No I would actually say this is a good fight. Sergai from the Helenius fight would of given most a decent match, it was just a step up to much for a comeback fight. He looked very sharp in there. I would quite like to see more fights like this made between the likes of Chagaev, Liakovich, Peter, Chambers, Thompson and Kingpin. These members of the older guard still have something about them and one could yet go on a run and carve out a better legacy for themselves. Hard to believe Peter is still only 31. If he could get himself back in shape he could still be a force against anybody not named Klitschko. Good fight. Liakhovich has a chance here if he fights like he did against Helenius and keeps a high volume of punches every round. He could outwork him like Povetkin did in the end. Not so far fetched given Chambers' inactivity I love Eddie Chambers and the guy is a class act, but I'd love even more if Liakhovich gets one more big win so he's not only remembered for the Brewster fight
Interesting fight, I'd like to see it happen. This would be on the NBC/Versus channel I'd assume and Chambers is a much better option than I thought they'd go for here. I like Chambers by decision but Lyakovich still has something left and this is a solid fight.
yea i get what your saying..he was schooling helenius before the gassing if im being honest but i still think hes done..he would lose a wide ud to chambers now..but i suppose your right can we complain if their at least trying to stay active??
