Fury doesn't seem to be taking his career seriously and is getting by on his heart alone. Price on the other hand has generally looked very good so far, despite having a much weaker slate. Fury needs to buck his ideas up, and Price needs to get a move on before he wastes his prime at English level. This McDermott fight has only been cancelled about 25 times.
Well if you were scoring that bout with pro rules it would be at least a draw but you could argue Fury has improved more since then.
Price is big and strong so Fury has no physical advantages to fall back on. Price is technically sound and can hit quite hard. Fury is technically not very good and has no defence.
Spearmint Rhino - Good points although Fury looked switched on against Chisora (which was closer than scored imo. Anyway I wana see this one happen around May next year. I just think that some who are writing off Fury are getting carried away with the weak opponents Price has destroyed.
Simply, Fury has a poor defense and was down from a telegraphed right hand from someone who wasn't seen as a puncher. Price is the same size as fury and better technically and has a big right hand. That said Fury has displayed some heart and bottle where price hasn't had to yet
When Fury is focused he looks quite promising. I thought he handled Zack Page very well and also looked good against McDermott in the rematch. But then look at him in his last fight. He looked like he'd never been in a boxing ring before. He's supposed to be progressing, learning and improving. He seems to have taken a few steps back recently and he's headfing for a big fall as the standard of his opposition rises. Price is the opposite. He's applying himself to the sport and he's improving with every fight.
judging by last performance it fits like a jigsaw though, fury's low left hand and david prices big right hand. however i still see this as a potential 50/50 fight, with the very slight edge to fury at the moment, he seems to not be taking it seriously his last two fights, but against delboy looked very good so i hope this is the wakeup call he needed and i hope he finds a trainer and sticks with them, hes apparently leaving chris johnson
From what I have seen of Fury, for a big man he does seem a tad feather fisted and also does not have much of a chin. Haven't seen much of Price, but being just as big I can see him sparking Fury with ease.
