Fury has either gone backwards or he's stagnated. Lack of discipline seems to have halted his development. Not that he was destined to go very far in any case because he simply isn't good enough, but a limited heavyweight lacking in genuine power will always struggle. If he stands flatfooted and square on against Price he could well end up being put to sleep. Having said that, Price hasn't answered too many questions concerning his own development because he simply doesn't fight often enough.
Well I would argue that Fury has improved during his career. He may not of his last 2 fights but he's improved. He looked switched off in those ones. Anyway, he should continue to improve he's 23 and heavy's usually peak at 30 or so, I don't think he'll be an ATG though but him and price will be a good clash. On a side note I hear from someone who coaches with the GB sometimes that Price was only 6"2 at 20 and has a form of giantism?
His last 3 fights have not been impressive. 1st there was Chisora who came in 20lbs overweight, insanely overweight. Chisora still troubled Fury a couple of times before he was absolutely knackered. An in shape Chisora would get past Fury no problems. Then the next two Fury was knocked down and potentially saved by British stoppages in his favour.
I think price beats fury quite comfortably. Fury doesn't have much power for someone his size and was absolutely shattered in the later rounds against an uninterested chisora.
if price lands simelar shots to the ones he landed on butler and dallas its good night tyson I really wish price were more active though MCd is a decent step up but after that he needs to be looking at Sexton, Rogie hell even Audley and get the motor running.
Cos Price has a bigger amateur background and a sharp punch when landed correctly. Fury has a sloppiness about him where it looks like he lacks the fundamentals and most recently his chin has been cracked. Most had Fury beating Price because of the chin issue but that problem goes both ways it seems. This is the pros and Fury is tough. Him and Price is a 50-50 fight in the pros because it isn't just about points and theres no headguard and it goes for 12 rounds! Price certainly looks the better boxer but he hasn't faced the trials and tribulations that Fury has in his last 2 fights and give and take battles with McD.
