Ortiz has some excellent physical attributes but as you say, he doesn't know how to adjust, isn't a clever enough boxer and doesn't have the heart to stay the distance.
It has always been his shortcoming. He only knows two ways to fight and he seldom strays from them. He out boxed an old veteran in Campbell but other than that he just plods forward and catches punches as he trys to land bombs of his own. If he can't KO an opponent easily, he looks for a way out. In my opinion, Berto was his best fight and he was lucky to pull that fight off. Berto will adjust and he will out box Victor. Berto is not the best boxer but he is better and more skilled than Victor. Plus, unlike Victor, he not only has a plan A and B. He also has a plan C and D.
Plus Ortiz won't be allowed to use his head as much as he did in the first fight after he disgraced himself infront of millions
IMO, if Berto approaches the fight correctly then he'll make it almost impossible for Victor to win. I don't actually mind watching Ortiz fight but he didn't deserve a pay-day against Floyd and whenever he fights anyone half-decent then he'll get shown up.
YOU know you use your head a lot when you BLEED from the top of it SMH so glad Floyd served him a two piece.
Both physically are beasts pity they not alittle smarter in the ring. They not knocking out bums anymore they on a higher level now, but I do admit recently prior to their fight they did look like they improved abit, but not enough. Victor boxing more, but still cant adjust. He was getting outboxed by Floyd, finally had him on ropes, but blew it. Bert has a nice jab, but gets lured into brawls easy. Both dont throw enough bodyshots either. It could be either ones fight. It will be fun.
Berto still has that weird stamina issue, and Ortiz, for all his short comings, has excellent cardio. Berto definitely has the ability to get him outta there early if he boxes, but if it goes into the late rounds, his success rate plummets and he gets pummeled against the ropes by Ortiz like last time.
50/50 fight....both have obvious flaws, but both have some strong attributes, its a toss and will look similar to the first fight but more competitive....I like Berto but i can't call this one...
