After Cotto leaves margaret as a meaningless trialhorse and leaves Arum he would be really screwed if PAC followed suit!!!

 

Top Ranked have treated Cotto well. They've got him huge fights and made him alot of money. Early on they moved him through the ranks really well.

 

Though the recent reports do leave for some optimism, I'm still not holding my breath for Pac-May, at least not on May 5th. If he leaves TR, I can easily see Cotto being the front runner to land the May 5th date against Floyd.

This of course is all contigent on Cotto winning tonight.

 

A possible Floyd fight means Margarito will get robbed

 

or cheated in some way and probably by the ref big time

 

The word in the island is that Cotto is not happy with Arum since Arum's support of Margo's comeback and licensing for PAC. It also makes him mad everytime Arum comes out to defend Margo on the loaded wraps...

The best move is for Miguel to go to GBP and get other fights... Or who knows, just maybe be his independent boss like Floyd.

 

Why would you say that? Floyd has no pull whatsoever on a Top Rank, in-house fight. Arum does, however, and I don't think he's going to let the guy about to leave his stable come away with a close decision.

 

I don't think Cotto can survive as a free agent. He needs a company to continue bringing him along at this stage of his career.

GBP can maybe extend his career a little longer. They did it for Barrera, Marquez, and Morales.

Thirdly, Cotto is in tight with GBP who despises Margarito for telling the world about Oscar crying over their Big bear sparring matches. Poor Margarito gossiped against the wrong man because Oscar has ties everywhere. He doesnt just play golf with the likes of Cotto, but also people like steroid mogul Travis Tygart and attorney Stephen Espinozawho runs Showtime boxing. If you recall, Espinoza was also the guy was illegally given possession of Margarito's handwraps and later testified against Margo in court.

Not only is Golden Boy out for Margarito blood but they hate Arum as well and have gone so far to cheet and suit his fighters including Manny Pacquia

 

I think it would be more devastating if the likes of Gamboa, Chavez Jr and lopez left him from a monetary point of view since pac is clost to retirement as is cotto. So sick of Top rank continuing the destruction of boxing.

 

Golden Boy has screwed those fighters too and those fighters know it

 

Prolonged Barrera's career when everyone had given up on him.
Help make the unpopular JMM a star and let him walk so he can fight Pac.
Are helping Morales make money, a shot Morales who everyone had wirtten off.
And when everyone had given up on Mosley, revived his career, and let him walk so he can make money vs Pac.

GBP are pretty damn good to their fighters. Is it a coincdence it is made up of a lot of former Top Rank fighters and have Nonito Donaire wanting to jump on board and rumors of Cotto coming on board as well.

Cotto has his own promotional company and if anything would partner with GBP like Floyd does with Money Promotions to hold fights. Floyd uses GBP because they have connections necessary to put together big events, where the Money promotion on it's own probably would have as many contacts. They're simply the larger company.
