So Felix, how does it feel being on the wrong end of a controversial decision? While the fight was way too close to being called a robbery, most of us probably had Sturm winning by a round or two (I had it 6-5-1 Sturm) except the laughably biased UK reporters. Ever since Sturm was robbed blind vs. DLH he got ridiculously overrated despite going life and death with B-class MWs like Gevor, Griffin, Macklin and Murray just recently. He shouldn't have gotten the nod over Gevor and flat out robbed Macklin silly. Now they should've probably give the decision to him but I can't feel anything but schadenfreue when a douche like him gets the same treatment.

Btw. immediately after the fight while being interviewed in the ring by German TV he said he'll kick Murray's ass in the rematch only to state half an hour later that Murray doesn't deserve a rematch as he beat him fair and square but was robbed because the judges were biased due to the Macklin bout.

Whatever, he is a douchebag and might as well retire on the stop. I can't stand him.

Had Sturm winning though I only tuned in from 5 on but most said Sturm won the early portion too

I think Sturm is a good boxer but his passive style allows lesser guys like Murray and Macklin hang when he should really dominate them

He has plenty of power and can land clean and if he showed the aggression of the 12th in the first he would have more KO's and probably be able to cross over to the American media

but he dropped the ball he put himself out there with his Oscar fight and blew his momentum

I agree that despite his fairly low KO% he sure ain't featherfisted. He just doesn't commit to his punches and throws 80% arm punches to not risk losing his balance after having his power punch blocked. Once he turned the pace up he had Macklin and Murray somewhat hurt, Macklin in some serious trouble even. And yet, he hasn't increased his workrate in the slightest and remains unnecessarily vulnerable to mediocre fighters with high workrates.

Referring to my lack of patriotism? I couldn't care less where my favourite boxers are from. Sturm is a dick and needs to be exposed Martinez/Williams II-style ASAP!

German boxing media is outright brainwashing. Axel Schulz said Wlad, Sturm and Vitali are P4P top 3.

Sturm is a piece of shi** and I am happy to see him on the short end of a controversial decision. I had him up by a round or two but let's be honest: This type of opponent, a nobody with something like 23 fights and zero history -- Sturm should have beaten this guy to pieces in one-sided fashion.

But he didn't. He couldn't. It just shows us Sturm for what he is. A 2nd class belt holder who is lucky to be holding a belt for so long. He's not a world-class top fighter.

Let's not forget, Felix Sturm was robbed in his fight in the USA with Oscar De La Hoya.

I scored the Macklin fight 2 points to Sturm. It was a close fight where Sturm started late but came on stronger towards the end

Too bad I don't have my scorecard for that fight stored anywhere but I do remember having Macklin up 6-1 after seven rounds. I had it 116-112 after 12 rounds if I remember correctly.
