Its a matter of opinion. GSP and Silva has a far stronger case than Fedor and Nog in that list because they are still very dominant and will be for the next couple of years. Hendo has the best resume (top 2) in MMA history and KOed Fedor H2H. Hendo has a few more surprises in store for us.

Yeah and during the same span wins against Rua, Fedor, Belfort, Franklin, Wand.

This was the same guy who fought the likes of Allan Goes, Bustamante, Big Nog when he was starting out.

People have not followed MMA long enough to understand how heralded Goes, Bustamente was at the time. Even Newton was a superb fighter back in the day.

There is no guarantee GSP & Silva will add greatly to their legacy, I personally feel both are coming to the end, Silva is getting old & not as active as he once was, bad combination & GSP has the acid test of his career coming up vs Nick Diaz, I give Diaz a 50/50 shot in that fight tbh.

Hmmm no guarantee is anything but I just cant see Silva getting beaten by anyone (if he gets past Sonnen) not because he's not slowing down, but theres nothing in the horizon as far as a challenge.

GSP is one of those guys that would be in great condition through his 30's. He trains hard and is always looking for ways to improve. If he beats Diaz, same thing with Silva, whos next??

Thing is, if Bones remain undefeated in the next two years, whos to say that hes not rated higher than everyone.

Maybe Anderson should try competing at his more natural weight of 205, he`s well & truly overstayed his welcome at 185, if he is the best in the world then surely he`ll want to fight in the toughest division in MMA, thats my biggest problem in ranking Silva as high as others do.

Same for GSP, if he beats Diaz then he should go to 185 no questions asked, there is nobody left for him to beat there, they should take a leaf out of BJ Penn`s book, if your the best then step up & challenge yourself.

I didn't make a bet, and you will be forever getting advised to attend to my genitals in an oral fashion whenever our paths cross. :good

Mentioning a bet I didn't know about = the most feeble attempt at "ownage" in the history of ESB. You're the Paedokeeper, and only you could be amused by this. :good

    What makes you say that?

The fact Anderson used to compete professionally at 170?

Or the fact that he continues to make 185 with ease at the age of 36?

Or is it just the fact that he's quite tall?

    :huh

    Pretty good list

Anyone who questions fedor being the goat probably just started watching MMA in the last 1-2 years = FACT

If you been following MMA since Pride Days then you wouldn't question fedor being the goat:deal

Technically you posted in a thread titled "AVATAR BET" with your pick - so that either means you don't read thread titles or you lack the comprehension to read it. So that bull**** excuse won't float. The forum might forgive you if you post something over your avatar to the extent that you're a ****** that doesn't understand thread titles.

Yes - and his one week avatar change would have come and gone already. At least this way we get to talk about it all year!

The idea that you would be betting against no-one/the thread never even occurred to me. I've been on these forums for the past 4 years in one guise or another, and I've never noticed such a thread before, where just posting on it IS a bet. I figured it was a thread for people to go on and bet against each other - this seems like a much more normal idea to me. When no-one replied to my post, I assumed no-one wanted to bet or no-one had noticed it.

Shogun is a fighter I like, but he's not such an extreme favourite of mine that I'd have a problem with an avatar poking fun at him. I'd purposefully not make a bet which would mean I'd have to have an avatar ripping BJ Penn, as he is my top MMA man. But had I chose to make a bet on Shogun and lost, I'd happily change my avatar accordingly, as I have done in the past when I've lost bets.

But sadly, the absolutely pathetic and ridiculous foaming-mouthed reactions of dorks like Markboy and Beekeeper to an honest mistake means I'd rather die than ever change my avatar to appease them. As if I'm going to be bullied by the kind of people who care so much about someone they don't know not honouring a bet they didn't even know they'd made - the very idea is mental.

Do your absolute worst whenever you're in the mood - I will never ever stop posting here, and will never ever change my avatar on request for you or anyone. Let the insanely repetitive, infantile and boring comments begin - and continue :good
