If they agree to it in contracts?

We don't care when they're in oxygen chambers for hours, or training in altitude, or doing anything else they can do to simulate.

We can't control genetics to reduce people's power if they have natural explosiveness that others lack.

There could be arguments for it, but I am firmly against it. I believe it is unfair to the sport and the fighters who don't use them. Shouldn't boxing be a sport, where you can only succeed though your own hard work, dedication and talent? Its not bodybuilding where the winner is the one who spiked his ass with anabolic steroids the most.

You cannot negotiate the use of an illegal substance into a contract.

PEDs aren't going to make them a better boxer.

Might make them train more efficiently and have more stamina though.

That can already be different depending on genetics.

You asked if they should be legal for boxers if it's negotiated into the contract. That's a nonsensical question. Let's clean it up and assume PEDs are legal in general. The question at that point is whether or not they should be legal in boxing. The answer is no.

That's amusing coming from a guy who is asking if PED use should be able to be negotiated into a fight contract.

    No.

PEDs shouldn't be allowed, ever. There isn't a single PED I'm aware of which doesn't have serious side effects. Boxers aren't going to know, or be told, about these side effects, so it's easier to protect fighters by banning them.

Aside from that, things like power can be improved by PEDs. A chin can't, nor can they protect vital organs from protection. You can make fighters dish out unnatural punishment but there's nothing to help them take unnatural punishment.

For once I agree with you 100%. Although in this case, the answer seems pretty obvious.

I asked should they be LEGAL.

You obviously didn't read the question and are now stuck in this web of stupidity you will never get out of.

So boxers shouldn't be allowed to make that call themselves?

Not a better boxer, but they will give them an physical edge. Wouldn't that be unfair? Some fighters that are less physically gifted rely on their speed, stamina and high workmate to beat fighters that are more of the slugger/puncher variety. PED's might erase the only advantages some fighters have over the others. That would be pretty unfair.

If they want to, why not?

    It's their choice, isn't it?

You're not answering the question, you're crying about cheating.

If both fighters agree to it, what business is it of yours?
