baby you can't argue with Statue, Acts, Bills, the mans point was valid, "contractually speaking"! if both fighters agreed to used PED in a contract, the contract would be void in the eyes of the law. Hypothetically PED would have to be legal to use everyday for the contract to be valid. he's right your wrong **** Ron Paul! :good
I think PEDs being the cutoff for what's illegal is fair and most logical. It's a hard question to answer because it's hard to imagine. Negotiating PEDs in a contract feels like dealing with an alternate reality. If PEDs were somehow legal I guess fighters should have the right to negotiate something like that in a contract. But PEDs aren't legal and shouldn't be legal, which is why the question seems odd and difficult to answer.
I got your point but it is an easy argument they brake one low (even though they do it under control) let them brake all the lows. You could ask them to shoot each other in the ring also . Boxing it's allowed in a way because of its long traditions.
Don't they not feel pain til after the fight anyway? And it's only cheating because it's banned by the commissions. Some "legal" stuff is already better than what's banned and it's probably being administered without any testing to see if it's safe by people who are finding new ways to enhance it. If we already know there is a huge underground market of untestable drugs being used, doesn't it seem a little silly that we're so strict about the stuff we found a while ago?
good point. Thinking about cycling in Europe people are afraid to let their kids join a club because of the PEDs. It's destroying the sport as a whole
The question was should it be legal. How is that over your head? And no they wouldn't have to be legal for everyone, because even steroids are legal under certain conditions.
Then it wouldn't be boxing, it'd be war... (which is also a crime that is legalized for certain people)
This only seems like a viable solution if PED use is so widespread and too difficult to deal with. At the end of the day we would never know if that day came to be because of the lax testing protocols currently administrated.
And the slickness of the Conte types. There probably is rampant PED use among boxers. It's like hackers.... they are always ahead of the game.
I don't know why I brought this thread to the general. Should have known a bunch of kids would come in with their moral majority high hats on talking about how drugs are bad. Same dudes who like watching Roy Jones Junior with all of his genetic gifts throw insanely fast combos at outmatched cops and waiters.
Exactly. That's why I understand the spirit of you thread. It would be a bad day for us to just allow for this to happen in sports, even boxing. It rubs fans the wrong way and gives it a bad image. I'm sure promoters would love to not have to chip in on increased testing protocols. This may be the future of sports by 2050 or 2100. I wouldn't be surprised if attitudes towards PEDs changed as more information became known about them.
This is the most ridiculous tread I've seen on this site. And the fact that the tread starter doesn't understand the reasoning behind it and is calling other people idiots is even more astonishing. If he just read the posts by the others, he should be able to comprehend this.
