you know who they were ... cans still do not get why people get mad at fighters who jump up without clearing up the domestic scene when the majority of fighters at the domestic will not prepare you for the next level.
So John Murray is **** because he got stopped in a fight who: was stylistically all wrong for him whose advantages were the same (and better) than Murray's came in overweight, is naturally much bigger and will probably never fight at LW again was is a very, very good fighter FFS just because he lost to Rios doesn't mean he won't beat anyone of note in the future.
Murray showed balls of steel tonight fair play to the lad went out oh his shield. My only criticism of him is why the **** he didnt turn up in that shape for Mitchell. But he was brave tonight
Save to say that if Murray doesn't actually develop a defense or some form of head movement then he's going nowhere past British/European title level. That was only Brandon Rios at 30%, he never got out of second gear and he was effortlessly just busting Murray up, should have been stopped way before the 11th round but hey ho, was entertaining to watch I gotta admit.
John Murray is a warrior and brave as they come, but you don't beat top fighters by leading with your face, and in the last two fights that is exactly what he's done. I'm not sure whether he can ever develop that defensive mode that can save him getting beaten by top fighters, shame cos he's all heart.
WTF dude? Don't troll the Brit forum. You're embarrassing the rest of us Americans. Murray performed admirably and was desperately close to what could have been a win on my scorecard (but probably not the official ones, alas).
He is a 36 year old phillipino whos only goal in life is to outlive mummy and daddy so he can get there house(he still stays with them), doby is a good christian but can only get his nat king off prossies. This is all true as doby has told all of this in the lounge. DobyZhee. A real winner in life.:good
I only really know him as a Lounge persona from basketball threads (and atheist vs. theist threads, although I mostly stay out of those) - and in the GF as a proud *******. This has been very informative.
Murray showed massive bravery last night but he is 1 dimentional and will not beat a world class fighter. Before the fight he was saying how he's gonna fight differently, use his jab, head movement, not come in straight lines but he fought how he's fought every single fight in his career and fought the fight rios wanted him to fight perfectly. But considering most thought he wouldn't last past midway he did well.
John gave his all and fair play to him, boxing is all about level's and he is domestic/euro at best. I used to believe he would trouble burns, maybe not beat him but trouble, I am sure now Burns would dominate him behind the jab. Murray needs a break and perhaps a move up in weight as he always struggles at lw, perhaps a go at lww?
Murray is domestic, maybe euro level and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Considering he is probably the 3rd best lightweight in Britain (and even thats debatable with the emergence of Crolla) he did very well against Rios.
