No love lost by the looks of it, Cotto convinced Margo used the wraps, I'll take his word for it.

Get the feeling Cotto will have exorcised a lot of emotional demons with this win, huge weight off his shoulders. :smoke

Margarito's eye could be ****ed possibly :think

Cotto saying his trainer came up with a good gameplan. Feels that he fought better than the first fight but also that the wraps played a part. Asked about the wraps he said, look at my face then and now and draw your own conclusion.

He also said he feels nothing for Margo, he has his life and so does Cotto. Nothing too insightful.

I can't really see Margarito getting licensed again anyway. His eye was clearly ****ed before this fight before he somehow got a license. The doctor that licensed him said his eye is now better than a normal eye :nut

The Brit forum rbr has more posts than the GF one?

    Well done Cotto

Don't wanna see a Chavez fight - doubt he'd make 154 and be near 100%.
Cotto/Alvarez, however difficult to make, would be a lot closer than people seem to think imo - I'd put it at close to 50/50.

Mayweather? Na, he's got Pac/Khan to come and would make it at 147 anyway.

Anyone know who the WBA mando is?

Kirkland might be fun..? Clottey rematch? There are plenty of options for him.

Yeah Margo is done now can't see any license in America. Only really leaves an all Mexican fight in Mexico. Alvarez? Maybe

Arum talking now. Says he thinks Diaz made a big difference to Cotto, especially the footwork. Feels Margo still has something in the tank, would like a third fight between to two.

Talking that Rios can go to 140 and fight Alvarado. Apparently the "best" fight that can be made.

One thing that's been said in the best is that Cotto can't fight on the backfoot. That once he does that he is effectively in survival mode e.g. Pac and Marga I.

Was his footwork better in this fight? It probably was.

He was jabbing a bit more, but he still has the same problems that he doesn't mix offence and defence well. He wasn't working on the inside either, but I think he realised Margo couldn't do much with him there. He did start shooting short hooks eventually and those, IMO, led to the doctor stopping it.

Margo was getting hurt, same as the first fight, but this time he wasn't hurting Cotto enough in return.

Overall, he was moving laterally to punch and that made a huge difference. Margo's uppercut was basically gone because of that one small adjustment. It's a win that may flatter to deceive. Cotto has improved but he isn't what he was. That first Margo fight robbed us of a superstar.
