    A mixture of both.

Chisora looked like crap against Fury but was in awful shape for that fight.

Agreed. As a matter of fact, I made a thread saying as much eariler.

But I think a lot of these guys are going overboard about Chisora, who, lets be honest, is not that good.

Agreed. That's the most depressing thing about all this. They fixed a fight to protect a bum who's never going to trouble the top twenty from someone who's never going to trouble the top ten.

    ****ing pathetic.

Boxers today need to train their hands like Muay Thai guys do their shins or Wing Chun guys their forarms and fists. You didn't see Dempsey breaking his ****ing hands every other fight.

Any chance that current punching power, as a result of diet/training etc has gone beyond where it should be for the structural integrity of some of these fighters? Do they punch that hard?

 No. Plus their wearing gloves with 2x as much padding and foam rather than horse hair.

Hmm interesting. I remember reading an Olympic Weight Lifting paper in a medical journal a couple years back about the heaviest guys saying that the number of stress fractures they recieve now as opposed to years before is a result of what i listed above. They said we will reach a record plateau soon because the body simply can't be pushed any further.

Thought it may apply to boxing. Even though Robbie looks kinda pudding like.

Apparently a doctor advised that Helenius not fight yesterday, because of an injury to his right arm, but they went ahead with it anyway.

Perhaps some of our posters know more details about Robert's injury.
