Teddy Atlas said after the fight today they are targeting an eventual Klitschko fight, but he wants Povetkin to have a couple more title defenses before stepping up and facing the real heavyweight champion. Who would you like to see Povetkin fight next?
Povetkin was impressive last night against a good opponent. Very sharp. Interested to see him against any of those.
I'd be happy with anyone on that list (last two best obviously). Pov has changed his style a bit. Still, Wlad and Vitali KO him. A beating is a beating. No point in delaying the inevitable.
Wlad. He's 32, step the **** up and show some ambition ffs. The heavyweight division is absolutely embarrassing.
A fight with Haye would be interesting I guess. Everyone knows what happens if he fights a Klitschko.
Wlad is the one that deserves to take his 0, for his legacy. But, if I were managing him, it would be someone like Rahman. Defending my fake belt as long as possible for good money.
A Klitschko or perhaps Chisora, if he really is as good as he looked against Helenius (one handed or not.) The rest have no business in the same ring with him. Since Atlas wont let him fight a Klitschko, my vote goes to Chisora.
Helenius or Fury to get some experience fighting a tall guy. Helenius doesn't deserve the 'title shot' coming off a loss and Fury looks like someone Povetkin can stop, so Fury would be a good choice
Michael Grant or Andrew Golota, I don't want Povetkin to try and do too much too fast, there is no need for him to make a serious step up before he turns 40.
Atlas knows either Klitschko beats Povetkin now. I think Povetkin vs. Helenius makes sense as Povetkin tries to buy time, and keep his belt.
Huck as a tune up in february or march to shut this motherfu*****'s mouth and then finally a Klitschko in july or august
