Could that be Niall McGinley? Was a bit lighter as far as i remember, but that may have been a few years back. Did you fit in a few rounds urself?
Sean Monaghan is on the undercard which is live here: http://www.toprank.com/FightNight.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=23700&SPID=101395&v=2 Should be on soon enough.
na spike was suppose to be up for sparring but he was sparring donnellan down that way so just moved around with david maguire heavyweight lad won intermediates last year think hes going pro with pascal, it was mcginleys brother won ulster seniors before he looked strong good defence first time ive ever seen him. one of the lads ormond was sparring was Anthony Cacace whose turned pro also hes one too watch gave steo good spar.
What weight Cacace , he's a serious talent i seen him beat Ormond in the seniors and gave a masterclass Ormond couldn't catch him. I also seen him beat jamie kavanagh well too. I think he would win the seniors this year if he was still 60kgs, i just wonder if the pro game would suit his style of boxing.
Paddy McDonagh beat James Tucker 39 - 37 in Barnsley tonight. James was on Boxrec feeling aggrieved and saying he deserved at least a draw. Apparently Paddy came in 6lbs over the agreed weight.
On my quest this evening to shorten the gap to titledom and some sort of championship glory, was for the first time in 3 outings put a step wider, because i suffered a disputed loss to unbeaten Irishman paddy McDonagh, 37/39. which i thought i may of edge if not got a draw, Mcdonagh came in 6lbs over what we agreed, bit of wrong un. I still took it, thou didnt have to,i did because this is what i do. having lost was guttering but i will never give up, boxing's what i love. luckily for me this doesn't mean i cant fight for the title that i want, From the feedback i got, people was very impressed with me and being only 26 with lots of experience i think i have a long time in boxing, being a journeyman is not a choice for me and i intend on ending that tag, thru blood sweat and tears. Hopefully i will be fighting Jonjo Finnegan for the British masters title end of Feb, start of march. Then my next topic headline will be, Contender with a bag of ambition.
