Go and smash the hell out of Jamie Cox hopefully!! He needs to put some variety into his work he seemed too reliant on his jab last night and Rose eliminated that which meant he had no idea what to do

Back to gym, or a new one where he can learn how to use his strengths cos he sounded terrible according to everyone in RBR.

Shannon has done a great job with him, but he just didnt seem to have a Plan B last night.

Brian Rose fought brilliantly though. i was suprised how comfortably he outboxed Arron from the outside.

He needs to work on getting his left hand back to the chin after he jabs. Keeps his hands low and his jab is easily countered. Double it up. Smothered his right hand a lot. Keep it straight instead of that kind of looping hook type right he was throwing. I only seen the last 6 rounds theis morning though.

i agree, he's been a vastly improved fighter of late, but once rose had started landing overhand right counters to arrons jab, he then seemed reluctant to throw it and had now other ideas, he just got outboxed, i wish he'd throw his right hand more often or shown a bit of variety off the jab. it was just throw a jab get countered, wait a while throw a tentative jab get countered again all fight really

Brian is a technically gifted fighter, I lumped on at 8/1 for the points win, what great odds btw. Prince Arron is still young and will come back a better man from this fight, sometimes you learn a lot more from a defeat than you do from a career of victories.

Someone (Wallet?) in the RbR hit the nail on the head with Arron, I'm paraphrasing but it was "that's what happens when a jab reliant fighter cannot land his jab".

When the jab wasn't landing Arron ran out of ideas, he had no plan B. He was really just outfought on the night by the better fighter. Arron will come again, no doubt, and retain the British title - but maybe not against Rose.

It's easy to use hindsight and I mean nothing against him when I say this but perhaps Arron wasn't ever that good?

Sam Webb was also dominating him easily for 4 rounds before he seemed to tire himself out. It then took him all of 12 rounds to get rid of a completely spent opponent.

But he's still young, has a good size advantage against all opponents and he's got his name out there a bit now, even if he doesn't have any title any more. He can come again but he's gonna have to keep improving a lot if he doesn't want to just get outboxed again the next time he faces someone decent.

  12. I'm inclined to agree, the PF win and that over Webb might have flattered him.

His jab is too important to his success, if he can't land it his game capitulates into almost nothing, other than popping the shots off and hoping to get lucky.

Rose on the other hand might have become underrated off the back off the blowout against Maxwell, it was surprising how easily he disarmed Arron and won the rounds convincingly.

Yup, Wallet was spot on. He looked clueless at times.

He needs to go back to the gym and learn how to throw a right hand. Or at least double the jab

TBH Sam Webb was boxing his way to a easy decision till he was hit with that hail mary. Arron's been flattered as mentioned above by SR.
