No one ducked Tyszu, if he'd beaten Hatton he would have got a Mayweather fight. If he'd beaten Phillips he would have got a DLH fight. If he'd campaigned at 147 or tried to make a fight with Mosley at 147 he may have got that fight

As for ducking, when did Tyszu call any of these names out? Mayweather called him out as a LW champion but he was injured when Floyd moved up to 140 and had to fight his mandatory in Shamba Mitchell. When Tyszu beat Mitchell he said he wanted the biggest money fight out there. Both Mayweather, Vivian Harris and Hatton wanted him, but TV contracts meant Tyszu and Mayweather were signed to different networks - HBO versus Showtime. Same with Mosley, Delahoya, both were HBO fighters. Hatton paid a kings randsom for him to come to England. Mayweather tried to fight Hatton in 2004 as his first 140lb fight. he fought Corley instead, he was supposed to fight Gatti for his Brussells date but Gatti's management prolonged signing the fight. After that Mayweather wanted Hatton or Cotto for a November PPV, both turned him down. He then was in talks with Winky Wright and Judah champions in the divisions above, both wanted a high percent of the PPVs and a deal wasn't done. So Mayweather didn't get a November PPV. If Tyszu beats Hatton in Manchester, he likely signs to fight a PPV in November as believe it or not Mayweather was taking on all comers at that stage (for the right price)

He wouldn't Mayweather-Gatti was the same month, the winners should have fought in the next fight (and did eventually)

I think Hatton's wanted to string out the money train tbh and build the fight up so it would be bigger. He could draw 20k fighting washed up fighters even before the Tyszu fight. In summer '06 he said he wasn't quite ready yet and he needed a couple more fights. There may have been the issue between the 2 TV channels too. Mayweather reckoned Hatton wanted to fight him at 147 so if he lost he could make money out of his 140lb championship, which he ofcourse did.

Hatton talked about fighting Corrales after Corrales beat Castillo, in the end Corrales rematched Castillo. Incidently Shaw completely shafted Corrales in his contract leaving him pretty much broke when he died

It would have been better if we got Hatton-Mayweather and Tyszu-Gatti in '05, because the winners would have actually fought

Oscar and floyd both failed to unify but both perhaps due to kostya losing.

Kostya also failed to fight these 2 it should be remembered. He also failed to fight harris.

Mosley is really a non entity when discussing kostya

I share your opinion on d subject .
IDK if Delahoya , Mosley & Mayweather had less heart than Judah , Mitchell , Miguel Angel Gonzalez , Vince Phillips , etc but they surely had more of a choice . Floyd was proven as a serial ducker , Delahoya ducked Ronald Wright & Vernon Forrest , Mosley was blamed of ducking Floyd (in his prime) but IDK how much it is true , d toothache story .

Don't u think that skipping n entire weight class is quite a blatant ducking ?
Y not add another belt 2d basket , 1 in its time ? He made 135 and later 147 so 140 was doable 4 him at least enough 4 a fight or 2 including Tszyu in each case .
Neither DLH nor Mosley were as dangerous as Tszyu was @ 140 .
Proof ? Miguel Angel Gonzalez fought Tszyu , Chavez and Delahoya but was only stopped by Tszyu .
Tszyu also stopped Mitchell who stopped Phillips but there is a case in claiming that Tszyu ducked a Phillips rematch himself (or was it Phillips' fault ?) Mosley won his 135 lbs belt by decision , and was not dominant at all @ 147 & above . Who did he stop there ? Vargas on cuts due 2 headbutt ?
Tszyu was a lot more dangerous than these guys @ was younger than Chavez & Whitaker which only added 2 him being d most dangerous fighter @ 140 .

Only on paper and even then only 4 those who don't know how 2 read it correctly . A guy fighting Tszyu @ 140 had much more chance ending d fight nearly concussed than fighting Whitaker @ 147 or 154 . Tszyu was also a lot more skilled than Trinidad even if not more dangerous @ this case but maybe his speed made d difference .

Mosley is the first one off the hook because he never fought in KT's weight class. He moved from 135 to 147 to fight DLH for loads of cash. You can't blame him for that. Plus at the time, DLH was considered better than KT.

DLH is also off the hook because he was past 140 before KT really hit the scene.

Floyd is a different story. When he moved to 140, there were several guys that were all much better than the ones he fought before bolting for smoother waters at 147.

He turned it down in 2006 saying he wanted a vacation, maybe under pressure from Oscar though. Floyd said he tried to fight Mosley in 2000 too

Not sure he'd win, I think so with his Quartey style but it's close. I think he turned down the Taylor rematch from what I remember (had him winning that by 2 points). Calzaghe wanted to fight him too when he was at 154, but that would have been too high up in weight for him, like Hopkins pretty much

What's it with you and the .........s BE
