We've had a look at all 3 in world title fights recently. Unfortunately they all came up just short. they all gave a terrific account of themselves and i think we can be extremely proud of this trio.

Who would you say is the best of the bunch?

    Matthew Macklin
    Martin Murray
    Darren Barker

I like how they all have different promoters aswel. ******, DiBella and Hearn.
Would love to see all 3 fighting each other

FOllow up question guys. Can you see any of them winning a world title? I mean the middleweight division is pretty loaded and i doubt Sturm is going anywhere near british fighters again in a hurry. If it possible that none of these 3 excellent british fighters gets a world title?!

Barker for me. Barker obviously was the least closest in getting the title between the three. Macklin should of definatly got the win imo. And the Murray was very close and could of gone either way.

So Macklin, Murray, Barker is the order of how well they did in there fights. But bare in mind Barker fought the best and caused him problems. Barker would beat Sturm imo.

I'd say Barker is the best then Macklin then Murray. But Murray isn't far behind.

    agree with this assessment.
he made Martinez look more ordinary than anyone since Margarito.

    Barker definitely beats Sturm

This should of had a poll, but for me Barkers the best of the bunch, he has a better arsenal of punches then the others and the better boxer, its close though.

Barkers the best of the three in my opinion.

    Barker > Macklin > Murray

  12. All 3 of them would beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Hope Barker gets that fight.

Barker would have a great chance of beating Chavez jr. I think he would be able to comfortably out box him.

I don't see Macklin being able to win a world title, his only chance was that night against Sturm. Sturm has a very low workrate and I do think Macklin did enough. I can't see him beating any of the other world champions. A fight with Chavez jr would be entertaining but I don't think Matt would be able to out hussle him or out box him and he certainly doesn't have power at world class to get the stoppage.

Murray needs a few more Euro level fights before we can tell. He looks to be the strongest of the three physically but still not convince on his punch power or his ability to adjust.

They've all got the chance to win a "world title" if they can be matched correctly, but none have the ability to be the World Champion - not that there's any shame in that at all.
