He can't match either Klitschko brother (then again, who can?) but he is still head and shoulders above all the relevant contenders of recent years. I concurr a fit Solis might be up there but other than that nobody comes close to being as big a threat to a Klitschko as him. Well, admittedly hardly anybody expects him to beat Vitali but that is rather due to Vitali being a H2H killer than him being an unworthy contender.
In fact, I think despite his fairly poor effort vs. Wlad he is the best boxer on Wladimir's resume. Byrd does literally nothing better than him and neither do Ibragimov or Chambers who are considered to be among his best wins.

Haye's trash talk has hurt the feelings of many Klitschko fans and racists (like Silencer) who went on to call Haye an overrated bum as opposed to attributing this tremendous victory to Wlad's excellent boxing skills but that's how dumb racists are. Instead of admitting their hero beat one truly dangerous contender for once who makes one climb up the ATG ladder, they prefer diminishing their own fighter's win in order to insult the opponent and feel good.

But haye is garbage. He never beat anyone of significance. That farce with Valuev was a joke, an old Ruiz who lost to Valuev before. Harrison is ****, and Monte Barret is a bum. What makes you think that Haye is special?

Adamek is ****ing horrible at heavy. A fit solis might be competitive, Povetkin doesn't exactly lack the talent but the "fire" to win. He's a ***** too.

Gaye is the biggest fraud in boxing. Sure he has some skill but all his fans can say is David Haye would do this and David Haye would do that. STFU and actually do something.

Why should anyone be butthurt? Haye showed what he is in the ring, - a *****. His post fight excuses aka "My toe was in agony" didn't help either. Then only butthurt person here is you.

    Let's look at some comparisons.

An ancient Holyfield and faded Ruiz both beat Valuev as conclusively as Haye did. (Holyfield was robbed). Chagaev beat Valuev more impressively than Haye did. Holyfield, Ruiz and Chagaev also managed to accomplish this while not humiliating themselves, unlike Haye; they also did it against a better version of Valuev.

The first Sam Peter fight gave Wlad a fight that was ten times more difficult than Haye managed to do.

So Haye could only just match the efforts of an ancient Holyfield, an old Ruiz, and fell far short of Chagaev and Sam Peter.

No Haye, is not special. He is likely to be a genuine top 10 heavy, but he never was anything more than that.

    1. Chagaev did not beat him more convincingly. Remember Valuev landing even one freaking shot on Haye? I don't. Haye's low punch output made things look a little closer than they actually were. He literally didn't break a sweat beating Valuev and had him on ***** street with one shot in round 12 just for the fun of it.

Wlad had not adapted to Manny's fight style the time fought Peter in 2005.

Talking about talent, not resume. Haye's 200+ resume is fairly thin but he did look way more powerful, slick, fast and talented than a lot of previous contenders combined when he disposed of Valuev or Ruiz (only the second man to stop him!). And I really don't get your Chagaev talk. Ruslan is the epitome of a modern C-class HW who got nothing on Haye. Seriously, name one thing he does better!? Peter is a fat, untalented **** and the success he had against Wlad in 2005 is solely due to Wlad's poor state his was in half a decade ago.
