No. The truth is that there's a lot of people who:

- Hate Haye for his mouth
- Love Wlad too much
- Don't know that much about boxing, just Wlad

Therefore the fight between Wlad and Haye gets viewed in a number of weird ways, when actually neither fighter fought an awful fight but managed to look each other look bad.

Defensively both fighters were very good, which had a limiting effect on their offence and gives the fight a worse rep than is probably deserved.

- Haye has better defense than anyone Wlad has fought in a long time, possibly ever. This is why Wlad was unable to land anything of note consistently and looked very average while throwing at the moving target.

- Haye's defense allowed him to make Wlad miss and create some counter opportunities, but because of Wlad's size and defensive abilities he couldn't/wouldn't capitalise on them.

- Wlad has a better defense than anyone Haye has ever fought, as well as a significant height and reach advantage. It was always going to be a struggle to land anything on him.

- Wlad is a naturally cautious fighter. Whereas most fighters would walk down a smaller opponent and let their shots go, Wlad was very concerned about what might come back from Haye. This means that he was happy to stay outside of Haye's countering range while jabbing to score points.

- When Haye did try to fire back, Wlad was able to get back and out of the way quickly, leaving Haye to fall in off balance with a wild shot.

Basically we had a fight between two very strong defensive fighters, who were able to limit each other's offence.

Wlad was nowehere near as accurate or effective with his punches as we are used to. Haye was unable to hit back with sharp counters due to Wlad's size and control of range.

Bad clash of styles for both fighters, they could fight 100x and neither would look any better

Adamek takes too many clean shots even at light heavy. i could see haye laying Adamek out with a right hand.

remember Adamek was out on his feet from a jab from Vitali who thankfully let the fight continue a bit longer so Adamek could hold his head up in Poland.

Why change a stunning game plan that was seeing him (Wlad) winning every round with ease as he coasted to a clear shut out victory?

 

Wlad had difficultly landing on Haye , Vitali who is a cruder puncher than Wlad(ten times the fighter mind) landed at will against Adamek whose defence is suspect to say the least.

err again the Wlad fight. man your a stubborn ******* im not even a haye fan. just think Adamek only moved up for the money who can blame him.

 

Only racists can have Adamek over Haye at heavy. I can barely make a case for Adamek to beat Haye at CW but at 200+ he proved to be simply shockingly bad.
Haye took a massive right hand by Wlad in round 5 whereas Adamek fell almost uncounscious in round 2 by a Vitali right hand. In the later round he was wobbled by jabs.
