He can come up with so many excuses but the Mayweather detractors will say that Floyd is the one who's afraid to fight. Manny's 3 layer cut that required 28 stitches to close must trump his right hand. This is one of the reasons Bob gave the people to mislead them into thinking it's Floyd who doesn't want the fight. 28 fresh stitches really doesn't mean anything. Floyd would have opened up a cut on Manny's face regardless. Bob Arum seems to be so desperate to put a damper on this fight. While Bob was in NYC over the weekend, Gary Shaw, Oscar De La Hoya, and Don King were all in Cali facilitating an action packed fight card. Kudos to them for being good businessmen and providing thrills for the fans. We'd like to see a fight between Abner Mares and Nonito Donaire but Bob doesn't like to do business with any other company. That is robbing us of the kinds of fights we'd like to see. Bob Arum doesn't care about the boxing fans.

 

Arum is full of ****. No doubt trying to get fans riled up and annoyed. I dont even listen to promoters anymore

MANILA, Philippines - Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Roth said yesterday WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao’s cut that he suffered in his recent fight against Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas was deep, down to the bone, and had to be sewed up in multiple layers.


Dr. Roth attended to Pacquiao in the dressing room after the bout in the presence of the fighter’s wife Jinkee, cutman Miguel Diaz and Dr. Vicki Belo, among only a few others. He used 28 stitches to patch up the wound – eight in the inner, eight in the middle and 12 in the outer layer of skin. The procedure took about 30 minutes.

either that, or pac and mayweather have been in cohoots this entire time. behind the scenes they both agreed to fight each other 2 years ago but wanted to make it a massive rollercoaster so that when the fight happens, it's monumental. so this is just another cog in the massive build-up machine.

That looks good and all, but there is literally less than a centimeter and a half of skin, fat (which manny almost has none) and tissue at the brow area. It should not, take over 2 months to heal, especially if it was sutured to that degree.
