Cotto beat Margarito, sure....What in the hell has margarito done since getting the plaster removed from his wraps, aside from lose?! Seriously, he was a walking punching bag on Saturday, and he was actually getting to cotto by the end.
Cotto would be absolutely picked apart by the speed and timing of mayweather. Not that cotto didn't look good for the first 7 or 8 rounds of cotto vs margarito, but mayweather would have absolutely dominated that cotto in every single way.
If you think cotto deserves one last shot at a belt, and you hate bob arum, you are a hypocrite. Bob arum set cotto up with some of the easiest targets (following the pacquiao beat down) in boxing: Yuri (hands of pillows, knees of lego) Forman, and Ricardo (just doing it for the paycheck) Mayorga, and now Antonio (what happened to my power) Margarito. All three of these guys were laughable opponents (I thought margarito would be closer, but jesus...). What Im trying to say is, people will ***** about bob arum getting fighters in house garbage fights, or finding the softest opponents for these guys, and when they win NO ONE is shocked, yet he deserves floyd ****ing mayweather?!?!?!?!

There is no way the title shot should go to cotto. If anything find someone with a future that if the title did change hands, the torch could be passed, and boxing could thrive.....Not a "well hes been here for a while, lets give him a 10 million dollar beatdown payday".

    Makes no sense to me.

Cotto didnt show anything that would trouble Mayweather in any way. And lets not forget Cotto got well ****ed up by Manny who couldnt deal with JMM who incidentaly got schooled by Mayweather. Now im not normally in to 'the man that beat the man' theory but in this case all the signs show Cotto would struggle to win a round

I think PBF beats Cotto easily (and always would have) but you cannot ignore the level of interest out there for this fight.

The question is Uncle bob gonna cash out on one of his cash cows? He did not want to risk Cotto's 0 back in the day but it is more feasible now that the 0 is no longer an issue. I think Uncle Bob would want to put Cotto in there with PBF over Pac because Pac is his Number 1 money maker.

This fight is not my number one choice for either guy. I would rather see Cotto- Kirkland or Canelo and PBF-Serg

Dont worry. If Cotto is signing back with Arum, Mayweather is out of the picture. Cotto is now a cash cow. Arum dont send his cows to the butcher.

Pac-Floyd should happen. I'd settle for Cotto if the Pac fight doesn't happen, but it's not what I want. I still don't think Cotto is the same since the first brick fist meeting, and beating Margo this time doesn't change that for me. Would be nice to show all those that think Cotto will beat Mayweather they're wrong, but Pac is priority.
