Mate I've got no probs with someone who has a different opinion to me but at least explain why you disagree??? In the first fight, Marg moved forward throwing a greater volume of punches with more power. Now whilst it is the case that Cotto did more to prevent the usual Marg onslaught, to me, Marg didn't demonstrate the same level of pressure he did in the 1st fight. Manny Steward even said Marg's punches looked to be arm punches and whilst I don't take what everyone says as gospel, I am inclined to agree with Steward on this occasion. Cotto did better than he did in the 1st fight no doubt, but the victory wasn't entirely down to Cotto's subtle improvements. Marg's decline also contributed and I'll stand by original post. Probably because he wasn't cheating in this fight but the point still stands, Marg in this 2nd fight wasn't the same Marg as in the 1st.
He pushed his shots more. In the first match it was Cotto bouncing his shots. This time he actually pushed Margarito back and managed to slightly hurt him.
He did fight a tree :think But its not like Floyd is running around himself. he paced up the tree. Backed up Mosley. Backed up Marquez :hey.
Let's not forget that Margo made an old Mosley and slightly past it Pac look unbeatable too. The guy's just a walking punch bag now.
Cotto can't compete with Floyd. The "closest" to compete against him was at 140#. But at 147 or 154 he can't compete, another Gatti-like performance for Floyd. Margarito can't even fight now and Pacquiao can't beat Floyd also.
I'm not sold...He did fight a better fight against one dimensional Margarito, so props for making the necessary adjustments, but I get the feeling his glory will be short lived...unless they bring him along carefully...
Anyone did rewatch the first fight since the second happened? It was a bigger massacre! (up to some point of course). I fell the biggest change (if not only) was the way he controlled his aggression.
:good I dont count that bogus Packiow fight either. That was some straight bull**** they pulled on him.
Now that Mayweather is fighting Cotto, what do you have to say about it? Is he still the mediocre fighter that fought Pacquiao or is he suddenly a good fighter now that he's a Floyd opponent? You guys need to be consistent.
