How convenient to consider Chico B level, but Cotto and Margarito A level. Chico had higher ratings then Mayweather, more size then Mayweather, was straight knocking dudes out.

 

Floyd having NO BUSINESS being at 154 (as you put it) is very similar to Pac fighting at 147.

 

Corrale's struggle with making weight and his legal problems were well documented and known at the time the fight happened. In a sport w/ mental toughness overrules physical ability, you can't just dismiss those. Still an excellent win for Floyd.

If Chico, JLC, and Hatton arent A-Level then who is?

Chico was undefeated with Like 30 Ko's and ranked high P4P when the fight went down.

JLC was the reigning Lightweight champ hadnt lost in his last 13 fights winning most by KO

Hatton was undefeated and rated higher than Floyd on some P4P lists.

If Chico and Hatton and JLC arent A-level than I guess the only A level Fighters are Floyd and Pac.

Please dont say Cotto and Margo are because how are they any better than Chico or JLC? Also Cotto and Margo and Pac are all TR fighters. You obviously weren't watching boxing around this time Corrales was destroying the best FWs and SFWs in the world. He was then what Pacquaio was from 09-10. After that he goes onto destroy the best lightweights in the world in Freitas and Castillo while registering a win.

Castillo beat and drew with Stevie Johnson another P4P level talent, he beat P4P level Casamayor, some thought he beat future P4P no1 Mayweather, he beat P4P Corrales and fought a close fight with him in what some billed the fight of the decade, he beat Lazcano, Bazan and Julio Diaz when they were top5 LWs.

Am I shitting on Floyd's record? No. Im simply saying that Pacquiao has a better resume. I think Floyd's is great, but Pacquiao's is the best in the sport.

 

How is it? Mayweather comes into the ring at 148 against DLH, lower than his weight in weight, Pacquaio comes into the ring at 150 at 147. A more apt comparison would be Pacquaio against Margarito at 150lbs, but Margarito isn't as good as Delahoya

The point remains. Pac's reign at WW is similar to what Floyd's would have been at 154 had he continued to fight there. Basically a guy fighting in a division one higher then he probably needs to.
