Maybe they will wind up underwriting the richest fight in history meaning the now inevtiable Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Manny Pacquiao Mega Bout.

And maybe they won't, this group known as Falcon Hawk Entertainment which is headed by veteran music producer Danny Rucker and patriarch of the legendary Jackson Family, Joe Jackson.
Maybe another group, and there are several, will turn out to have more mindboggling amounts of money to put up or will bring other key inducements to the table. And maybe it is another group that will pass muster (for the Pacman side) with Wall Street firm, Allen & Company.

But, even if Team Pacquiao and Mayweather's camp decide not to have an outside group underwrite what could easily be a $100 million plus event, boxing fans will owe a debt of gratitude to Messrs. Rucker and Jackson for bringing the two sides together, face to face, on Nov. 23 at Mayweather's gleaming Las Vegas gymnasium.

That informal chat session, which brought Pacquiao Uber Agent Michael Koncz into diredct contact with Lil Floyd himself, certainly "broke the ice" for whatever follows.

And here is the photographic proof that this historic event did happen when and where Mr. Rucker, Papa Joe and Floyd's uncle and trainer, former world champion Roger Mayweather Jr., said it did.

Now you've got Bob Arum saying there is "magic" to the Mayweather-Pacquiao Super Fight.

Now you've got Pacman saying "only small details" are left to be resolved.

And you've got Rucker still waiting to hear back from Mayweather's main man, Al Haymon.

Let the record reflect, whether Falcon Hawk flies high or is grounded, they ended the Cold War between the two camps.

They broke through a key boxing barrier.

Now it's just about stacking up money, about providing Letters Of Credit and massaghing a few insufferable egos.

Manny wants this fight.

Floyd wants this fight.

It took Falcon Hawk to push the envelope this far.

That should not be forgotten.
