With the gym largely empty. That is clearly a private meeting, despite the casual attire. Dip****. :hi:
And yet you already know Pac wil get ripped off? :huh Accept the reality that fans know very little about the specifics of boxing negotiations.
If Floyd has an idea how much will be made on the back end, those investors surely also has a projected figure and they will offer that to Floyd... and PAC just to make the fight.
Pac doesn't even know what the hell is going on with his money right now. Dude doesn't even have bout contracts in his possession and Koncz tells the accountant what to put for his taxes. Anyways lets not turn this thread into a battle. Hopefully the fight will get made but we also have Arum bringing up that cut again and how May 5th Manny won't be ready. :deal
What the **** is Joe Jackson going to do. Has he even paid off everyone michael owed with whatever they made from that DVD? MJ owed like $400 million or something stupid like that.
There was actually an article in the New York Times about Floyd's business model after he beat Ortiz. He basically has control of all the revenue and has his hands on international rev too. Someone with this much control would be a threat for emmanuel and bob.
Joe Jackson was cut out of Michaels will. Not sure how much money he actually has at the moment but it is funny to see him there.
I understood your negativity but with these latest developments, there's some glimmer of hope. Don't bring up again and again those negative things that occurred at the start of the timeline. Those negative things were already superceded. Look at the current positive things happening right now.
Hey, not trying top turn this into a battle. Just tired of fans who talk about money or purses in certain situations, as if they have a clue or inside knowledge. Seriously, what do you even know about Pac's finances that you haven't been told from outside sources? And that's not only directed at you. It happens, and has happened, often. But aside from that, agreed. :thumbsup
I have a question for you Punchko. How can you call someone a ****** when you suck dick for money? This content is protected GIFSoup
On fight nights, if it were not for the din of the crowd and the sounds of fists striking chins, Mayweather could hear the ringing of cash registers. He earns a percentage of every ticket purchased, every pretzel consumed, every poster sold. He will earn from countries that paid for broadcasting rights and the theaters where the fight is shown. Mayweather, regarded as one of the best boxers in history, fights under a highly unusual financial structure, exchanging upfront risk for back-end profit while retaining total control. He is even responsible for paying his opponent, in this case a business expense of at least $2 million. To explain the business model, Schaeffer starts with a pie. A little more than half goes to the distributors (Time Warner, DirecTV, etc.). The balance goes to the network, HBO or Showtime, which takes its distribution fees and hands the rest to the promoters. In this case, Golden Boy has one contract with HBO and another with Mayweather Promotions. But the money, less what distributors and networks take, is under Mayweather’s control; normally the promoter would control it. That pie is only part of the total revenue, the pay-per-view TV part. To illustrate the other revenue streams, Schaefer pulled a piece of paper from his pocket, a spreadsheet written in 6-point typeface. Drawn out, Schaefer said it would take up two chalkboards, but on the sheet in his pocket, it was boiled down to a formula for how much Mayweather would earn, based on how many people bought the fight and what the other revenue streams brought in. Those streams include foreign sales for a fight broadcast in 168 territories; closed-circuit revenues (in 2,000 or so bars and restaurants nationwide, in theaters and in rooms at Las Vegas casinos); site revenue (ticket sales, merchandise); and sponsorships. Most boxers would see little, if any, of that money, whereas, Schaefer said: “All revenues here are Mayweather revenues. He gets part of everything.” http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/17/s...avyweight-financial-clout.html?pagewanted=all Floyd is smarter than emmanuel, and bob don't like that
Yeah I don't see Floyd giving that up. We will see though. As long as the fight gets made is all I want and I am going to go to it if I can get a ticket which might be damn near impossible.
