Gerald has to take some of blame for the problems as Manny Steward rightly said, Fighters know the dangers and having quality trainer and someone who knows what there doing and care's is a must.

Gerald punched his teeth out and also had digs at him he looked useless on the pads, Gerald thought he could blast Benn out. Nevertheless Johnson must be looked at to take large portion of blame according to Kevin Mitchell McCllelan did want out after 6 rounds and was told to continue.

Watt's comments weren't as bad as Colonel Bob, I felt bit bad for Jim he never meant it as nastily as Bob IMO.

Is it me or do you think Gerald may have been special needs? just looking at his early interviews before fight and his school pictures the eyes and jawline and fact he struggled to speak consistently without stuttering just makes me wonder if he's one of them lads who may of been a bit backward. Some of them are extremely strong lads went to school with a deaf kid who was tiny but could fling people round like a ragdoll. Gerald seemed ok and happy enough i did feel when he was with Benn a hint of anger which was understandable. He will always be a champion i hope the belt money supports him well and he gets donations.

Benn was Benn, heart on sleeve he's got nothing to hide. Kevin Saunders was honest and liked what he brought to table as well as McGuigan.

I felt the shows footage of the night was brilliant BTW. I'd of loved to hear from Steward on McClellan.

 

i know it does'nt matter now but, does anyone know who the judges had winning the fight going into the 10th?

 

With all due respect to Mclellan probably something like that your right the way he holds himself his general gait does have that sort of aura about him. SOmebody who is not all there. He may just be one of the people who is for lack of a better word a simple guy. That no disrespect to the man just an observation.

Seems quite a shy bloke as well considering his ruthlesness in and out of the ring.

 

I thought McGuigans comments, which were aimed at Watt, were unfair.

Just watched. I thought it was a decent documentary and obviously moving giving the subject. But I dislike how as someone mentioned earlier it just seemed to all be about blaming each other.

 

i remember hearing the gman would cut 20 pounds in 14 hours anyone here this

 

didn't hear the exact weight but certain that he dived at the weight.
