Floyd - GOAT of fantasy fights

I dont know. SRR was a big Welterweight with power in both hands. Like Sugar Shane Mosley, if Mosley had boxing skills.

SRR could box slick defensively or could slug it out. I mean he was dropping middleweights with one shot. Should have become Light Heavyweight champion. Back when being THE champ meant something.


Tough to say. There just arent any good fighters around on that level. Pacquiao is a good rival, but nowhere near the versatility of those two.

hearns UD floyd to me is even outrageous. how the hell does floyd's chin stand against hearns' right? floyd sleeps in this fight. he does the noodle legs bad then sleeps.

I think SRL had superior offensive instincts, to SRR. On this forum it's very difficult to say a fighter is better at anything than the GOAT, but it's my gut feeling. I think that Leonard threw aggressive combinations with intelligence, and may be the only WW who could keep up with Floyd from a mental standpoint, whilst having the physical tools to impose his will.

SRR is a difficult one for me to fathom when it comes to him taking on Mayweather, I consider Floyd the smarter fighter, and assuming he survives the first 2 rounds, I think he could potentially reverse the flow of the fight and gains an advantage on the scorecards. Robinson may well break him down eventually, but it's a come from behind KO in my head. 12 round fight would favour Mayweather.

He's a great fantasy boxer because he's a great real life boxer. He might not beat everyone 130-154, but he would not be a walkover for anyone.

 

in fantasy, styles rule. in real life, power, pain and tolerance exist. you can't just simulate floyd's performance of gatti against cotto, etc..
