    Another fantasy win for Gayweather.

He can continue fighting Ortiz, Gatti, Baldomir, corrales while fighting the others n fantasy matchups.

At the end of the day it's better than Floyd fighting a shot-to-**** Morales, Guerrero and Maidana. Probably better than Khan and Bradley aswell, what the hell have they proven above 140? If Floyd doesn't fight Pac or Martinez, Cotto is the next best opponent. He is the best in the division above Floyd, a 3-division champ who's fought the best, has a very good title fight record with only 1 opponent he hasn't beaten and is still only 31. He's also the biggest PPV draw outside of Pac and Mayweather. Funny how so many are writing Cotto off as a **** boxer after a great boxing performance. So much bias against him, obviously stemming from factors other than his ability. If he goes on to beat Pac his career becomes ATG worthy and he'll be the Roberto Duran of this era, then what will all you fools be saying?

I know, not even worth responding to. A border line HOF'er, 3 division world champ who has names of Mosley, Margarito, Clottey, Judah, Mallignagi, Foreman, Maussa, Quintana, Mayorga on his resume has just been compared to Arreola and Grant...:patsch

Also the fact that he calls him "slow"... lol. Methodical = slow...

After Mayweather fights Pac, I wouldn't mind seeing this. But it wouldn't be competitive, sorry.

Cotto had a great performance last weekend there is no doubt about it. We are not saying that Cotto isn't a good fighter, (because he is) we are saying that Margarito isn't anything special. Margs has no real Boxing ability, limited footwork, Pac cracks his skull just recently and he blocks with his face. This was a fight Cotto HAD TO WIN! If he would've lost he would've been finished as a good fighter.

The thing is that if Floyd were to fight Cotto, the *******s rallying in this thread for this fight, would be the first to say Floyd only beat a diminished Cotto, who Pac already destroyed. Floyd will get no credit for the win and it really isn't an interesting fight.

Floyd needs to fight Pac or Martinez no excuses.

Agreed, it really comes down to what Floyd wants from Boxing at this point in his career. If Pac is not an option, Cotto would be a good fight Moneywise especially due to the fact that Cotto had his last fight with Top Rank. IMO it seems like Bob wants to keep his Top Rank fighters fighting only Top Rank fighters. If Floyd wants legacy fights then Martinez would be a good option. Not many casual fans know who Sergio Martinez is so I wouldn't expect it to be a "money fight" but a good fight nonetheless.

Floyd is going to get critized no matter WHO he fights outside of Pac but somethings are beyond your control!

Good post. They will be saying they saw he was great all along and completely flip flop on their stance. Such is the way of the internet forums.

All fights should happen. That's what's wrong with boxing. Too many people think boxers should not fight each other because we "know what would happen" This doesn't happen in many other sports besides boxing. How do upsets happen? I guess someone like Tyson should've never wasted his time with Douglas, Barerra with Hamed, Tarver with Jones, Taylor with Hopkins, Sanders with Klithscho, Molsey with Wright/Forrest, Moorer with Foreman because we all "knew" the likely outcome of fight.

C'mon man, u didn't think too much before making that post, right Leon? I mean, Ortiz did make the cut but not Cotto. Another thing, what's up with ppl saying x or y fighter is not elite to fight Floyd??... So plz, by all means, enlighten me as of which "elite" fighter has Mayweather fought as of late... actually as of ever, at least on their prime or close to it. Cotto would be as close to that as anything Floyd has fought b4, no doubt. Funny how most of these Floyd fans would give credit for him to fight anybody coming frOm 140 like Khan, Bradley, Ortíz, etc. but not with cotto. They afraid Cotto putting Floyd on ***** st just like Mosley did but with a guy that could probably, actually finish it this time??? There's always a chance.... Just sayin'.... We'll see who Floydie fights next... btw, I'm all for OSDT but Floydie needs to fight a more live opponent than Ortiz next, and yes, Cotto would be one!!
