David Haye is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Povetkin, Adamek, Ibragimov, Solis & Helenius

Because Lewis doesn't leave much room for negotiation. You can't apply his case on David Haye at all.

 

no i dont wonder why, he obviously shares the same opinion as me that he is a level above them and would beat them, he'd be in Boxing for a few years longer than he wants to be if he went through all of those guys, an he would not recieve credit for doing so.

surely fighting wlad then vitali back to back (and potentially wlad again if he pulled off a win) is good enough?

In statistics, significance does not indicate importance. And so, we have David Haye a fighter with seemingly good tools, but whose performances, time and time again are consistently wanting. For instance, I doubt any of the fighters in the thread title would have much difficulties with the likes of Fragomeni, Mormeck, Barrett, or Valuev the way Haye had. The op is infatuated with a slick black boxer who looks good on paper but almost always fails to deliver what he and others promise. If he is so much better than all those fighters above, where exactly is the proof and how come he hasn't even fought one of them, being that a) they are the top contenders b) more than one of them was seriously asking for the match.

I said he had the potential to, if he executed his plan. Obviously I was wrong, but Adamek stopped executing and thinking from round 2 when he was hurt by good shots. I was never predicting an Adamek victory with certainty, only that he had the potential to win due to his bravery, mobility, tenchique and experience, something that I saw lacking in Vit's previous opponents. You will never find a statement of mine such as, Adamek will school Vitali etc, that was all too common in Haye-Wlad build op from many Haye fans.

Retrospect vision is 20/20. Many analysts were giving Adamek some chance and certainly thought he would do better than he did.

Adamek never stood a chance of doing anything other than being on the recieving end of a severe beating from Vitali, that will not happen to Haye, the same as it didn't against Wlad, why? because Haye is a level above Adamek atleast.
