What is the reason for some people's dislike of the Klitschkos?

to whoever made this thread, there's definitely a hint of racism and ignorance in the poll's responses, it's disgusting and nothing anyone should advocate. that being said, I don't hate the klitschkos, and I watch their fights, but always lose interest partway through. it's not vitali and wlad's fault, but no one's ever bringing heat to them in the ring, and coupled with their safety first styles, it often makes for a lackluster night. the last truly exciting fights I saw from both of them were wlad's fights against peter in '05, and chambers (for a few rounds), and vitali's fight against briggs (for a few rounds). nevertheless, it isn't their fault. I'm convinced they'd be more exciting if they were forced to be in the ring. I don't hate them, it's the fans that consider them all time greats I despise, if not pity. not one of them has yet to present a convincing enough argument for any klitschko's atg status. simply put, show me the resume that proves it, because fantasy head to head matchups are purely hypothetical.

Like the Klits but don't agree with many things their fans say.

You can like the Klit Bros but still think that:

Lewis Beat Vitali fairly.
Wlad has a weak chin.
They are not big H2H challanges for most ATG HWs
They have not beat elite opposition before.

But for their fans it is all or nothing - worship them or you are a ****...

I separate the two. Vitali actually comes to fight and takes on guys who would give Wlad trouble. I respect the hell out of Vitali.

Wlad gets hate for his boring ass fights and overzealous fans. The guy has every physical advantage in every single fight yet takes 10+ rounds to take out a guy Lewis would have starched in 4 or less. Then, when he finally ends the "fight" his fans tout him as an ATG.

You, Koman, Alien, etc. are flooding every K-thread if not starting one FYI I don't give a slightest **** about you or any of your kind posting anywhere else, it's your british obsession with Ks which prompts me to tickle or get under your skin.

You understand very well that none of the british no-talent heavies will ever be a threat to any K. That's what makes you angry and bitter, that's why you and your kind are maniacally obsessed of Ks and that's why you keep flooding every K thread.

Exactly. And to be fait it's not just Klit fans, it's a certain hardcore group of most big name fighters.

I just don't get this state some people have reached where 'their guy' has to be perceived as flawless. **** - if you can't accept that a fighter you like isn't flawless, or can't hear criticism aimed at them without getting angry then you're probably not that much of a boxing fan, because boxing is about styles, match ups, strengths and weaknesses. For us fans it's about analysing the details of those things for every fighter, whether we're a fan or not.

And the funniest thing is that you can't hide anything in the ring - if you have a weakness then it's there for all to see, and they WILL see it. So to come forums here and start defending people against completely valid and accurate criticisms shows that someone either doesn't know very much about the sport, or is blinded by bias.
