    Had to be a *******.:patsch

Just go start a thread about Floyd with your ****** brigade and leave the real boxing talk to the people who don't only follow one fighter.

Thats why boxing is an art. You dont have to be the biggest or strongest, but simply use the skills of boxing to do some ass whooping and win which is the most important thing. The questions you should be asking yourself if you were any trainer and your fighter was to face Margarito how will you tell your fighter to fight him esp. being the smaller fighter?

See what I mean? You have bad eyesight and cant tell your ass from your head. You can barely drive so how in the hell can you score a fight? Manny was the agressor dumbass he the one going forward he caused the headbutt or you gonna deny that too?

    You guys are a joke.

I understand that. I just have a preference for wars and certain styles of fighting. Like I said Cotto won fair and square there is no debate about that, but I just don't like wathing a fighter run around like that, or clinch so much. It's the reason I don't find most of Mayweather's fights exciting. Doesn't mean I don't think Cotto or Floyd are not skilled, but I just couldn't see myself or my favorite fighters winning a fight like that.

    :huh

where does Marquez run? When Pacquiao goes forward, Marquez takes a step back, or to the side, one step then counters. Wheres all the Cotto style movement? Marquez stands his ground most of the fight, and at some points Pac takes steps back as well, was Pac running too?

Cotto takes 6, 7, 8, steps back, or skips side to side, jogging backwards in every single round.

The level of ring IQ of Marquez and Cotto is not close, if you can't see that then I don't know what to tell you, If you call what Marquez did running, then what was Cotto doing? Sprinting? :rofl

The respect its mutual then...The tactics employed might not be for everybody but that was his fight and it worked. I actually thought he would use more lateral movement and pivots instead of being that much more mobile and he was still backing up in a straight line at some points. I think once he felt sure he could land at will on the move he decided it was not worth standing inside too long.

Understood:goodThe elite sometimes need to adapt to win esp. as fighters age they tend to take less risk, you cant blame them. The sad part the guys that bring excitement are the ones forgotten defeated by those that many consider their style boring or not warrior type. I just appreciate when a fighter does his homework and turns his supposedly weakness to his strengths. Great example Floyd/Mosley fight. Im not a huge Floyd fan, but I must repect his talents. The way he defeated Mosley, being hurt in that second round, recovering, staying compose/calm. Then began to dismantle Mosley, made him look like an amateur and even became the stronger and bigger guy hitting Mosley with big shots, calling him to come and fight and even backing Mosley up was just simply art to me.

    :rofl

Just compare. At times Cotto did some serious back pedaling, moving all the way across the ring, from one corner to another.

Terrible year for PR boxing. Before the Margo-Cotto rematch I was telling my boy that I couldn't remember the last time a Rican beat a Mexican. Caldy v. Cazares maybe?

You could see similarities, but damn I miss the 90's...You can see how much more superior DLH and Tito were to Tony and Cotto.

These are the fights that had you n the edge of your seat, and it was quality, skillful fighting.

Oh hell yea. No disrespect to Cotto him and Marquez are my favorite fighters, but yea Oscar and Tito were the last true welterweight stars. To me Margarito was a good 154lber vs a great 140lber in Miguel and met in the middle.
