Tbh i'm trying hard to think of ways Frochy can win this fight and it's tough, lol. Ward just holds so many aces and can do whatever he wants to win. He can tough it out with Froch as he's physically very strong on the inside. He can box short, mid and long range and get the better of Carl. He adjusts on the fly, great defensive base, better counter puncher. Smothers and handcuffs heavy punchers. Heck if Carl had a gun and they were in the same small room, Ward could probabily disarm him, lol. Does Carl force the fight, try and put a lot of pressure on Ward, hoping he engages and gets caught with something. Or does he box at range using his height, reach and underrated jab? Watcha reckon, Bunny?
Wrong person to ask, I don't know **** about boxing. The former. I'd like to see Froch to jump on him from the off like he did against Pascal. Tbh, my heart's ruling my head on this one, & though I know the odds are against him, I just wanna see Carl get the win & his fair due.
I'd say without doubt the latter, it's the only way I see him winning the fight. He has to use his physical advantages because he doesn't hold the tchnical advantages at all. It's a style he's not perfect at; the Johnson fight showed that. But every time he did slip up and let Johnson inside he was able to answer the attack and end the exchange landing punches. It's a quality Froch has in abundance, that grit to do what is needed to get the win. It's admirable but perhaps not enough to win the fight so for me he needs his jab to be as sharp as it's ever been to keep Ward at bay in a position where Carl can force the action.
I havent heard him mentioned on box nation recently. What fight you got lined up in December Buncey.....oh wait none
Actually I don't think I've heard anything on my boxing channel about: * Brian Rose winning the British Light Middleweight title * Anselmo Moreno's fantastic performance against Vic Darchinyan * Abner Mares' also great showing in the rematch against Joseph Agbeko * Carl Froch fighting Andre Ward in the next fortnight :bart
I suppose being the humanitarian-esq people at box nation will have countdown to AMir Khans fight this weekend? :hat
Froch was mentioned on Monday. He was mentioned last Saturday. Eddie Hearn will not let him come on the show. He was mentioned the Monday before. He was mentioned when Groves boxed. He was mentioned from Motherwell. He was mentioned when DeGale was in the studio. He gets a mention each week. SKY ignored his fight with AA in Helsinki at a time when they had Ringside. BoxNation has, as far as I know, two nights of live boxing in December and three more Bunce Hours. This week's show is off, but then again SKY lost two fights in December if i'm not mistaken. The assault was poorly devised, in my opinion. It is a fact that SKY ignored Froch. Why would anybody seek to deny that unless they are part of SKY's machine. It's a bit disturbing. Very odd. Now...I will help you with the reply...you say..,"Yeah, but the fights are rubbish..." This is where it gets boring. Adios.
Last saturday was easily worth £10 imo, anything else in December is a bonus. Well done to Boxnation.
