Do you guys know anything about conditioning and how it affects punch resistance and recuperative ability? Wow.

In your eyes, Kirkland did not improve since his Ishida loss?

if a fighter as slow as Angulo could counter kirkland, cotto would do it all night

Kirkland chin is terrible what make him difficult to finish him of quickly is the ton of heart that He have. Still i pick Cotto by KO, Kirkland is a Lacy wannabe. Those kind of fighters are always overrated, fans always make the same errors over hyping fighters like that.

Ok, racist epithet used to prove your point. Congratulations.

I'm not a huge fan of Kirkland at all, but for you to not realize the factors that went into Kirkland being ko'd by Ishida shows you as a limited boxing knowledge having hater that you've shown yourself to be throughout this board. Get in a gym sometime for god's sake then come up with an idea that makes sense.

Kirklands chin is an x factor, but he has not been stopped when his conditioning is up to par. He just took bombs from Angullo for an entire round, a man who out of 20 bouts had 17 ko's, and a dude (Cotto) that hasn't had a KO since 05' is supposed to flatten a bigger man in 1- 5 rounds? Give me a break....

I'm a bigger Cotto fan than Kirkland by far, but sometimes you have to use logic.

Kirkland got clobbered in the first round against Angulo. If Angulo hadn't shot his load like a novice do you really think Kirkland would have still been there?

Kirkland isn't better, he's the exact same guy he always was. Toughing it out was very exciting, but he's pretty much an open target for any top-flight guy.

The Angulo performance was good, other than the beating he took in the first.

Yes he would have because throughout the onslaught Kirkland was still dipping, hitting back, and it was a left uppercut counter from Kirland WHILE Angullo was still punching that stunned Alfredo and started the sequence that had him eating the canvas by the end of round one. :patsch

I wanna see this I think Kirkland takes it.
Big fast agrresive puncher hes gunna make cotto move backwards and saw how uncomfortable that makes Miguel.
I think Kirkland v ishida was a fluke - look at the difference in condition beteween that and the Perro fight- Perro put him down he got up ok surived several big shots and when anguelo had shot his load unloaded his own bombs.
Cottos boxing ability would make it interesting but i just think Kirklands style is all wrong for him

This would be a good fight, they both have the power to hurt each other badly, an early/late stoppage on either side wouldn't surprise me.
