I was just wondering if anyone has any post fight vids with Cotto talking about if Margs. punches and if they felt diff from the bricks he had in his gloves in their first fight :think

I haven't watched any post fight interviews, but when Max pressed him about that question in the ring after the fight, he pretty much brushed of the idea of Margarito having wraps in the first fight, when he said the only difference with Margarito's punch was that he didn't go down like in the fist fight

Look at Cotto's face. Cotto's face was even more marked up by the 6th round in the 2nd fight than in the 1st. Although the plaster probably did the dmg in the later rounds 9th-11th (if he Marg cheated), which we will never know.

In the post conference he said "The difference is my face and I am still standing here" and let the people decide when asked did the punches hurt I think we can at least have an idea what he thought by that statement..

I think his faces says it all. Not just the swelling, but the facial expressions during the fight. Margo hits hard, but the damage he cause this time is similar to the one Cotto recieved from opponents like Clottey and Pacquiao, in the first fight the damage was just different. A severly broken nose with disfugirement instead of just swelling. Cotto cried blood after the first fight, in the rematchnthey were tears of joy ;)

Why don't you post a picture from the in ring interview, so we all could see how "soft" Margarito's punches were, what does this thread have to about Margarito's eye which Manny destroyed before hand and nearly had this fight in jeopardy

Still LMAO at friction Marks, his face looked like he was in a bare knucle fight

His post fight remark did lend itself to interpretation. I wish he had said something a little more definitive. At the time I thought he meant that the fact that he was still standing and conscious was indicative of a difference in Margo's punching power.

Wow, if Marg would have fought three more rounds, could you imagine what Cotto's face would look like? It's a fight, your not going to leave the ring unmarked.

its easier to tell a real bruise from scratches or inflammation with a pic of a few days after the fight thats all... you can clearly see under the eyes he was bruised and the top of his forehead got scratched and red but not really bruised. wheres margos picture???
